25.01.2022 AMURT Australia has been fundraising in Brisbane for cyclone relief efforts in Fiji. During Easter (Saturday 26 March 2016), the volunteers made a serious effort towards raising funds. The team prepared special snacks and sweets for sale at the Valley Markets. It was beautiful to see so many volunteers and helpers. Both Dada Shuddhacittanandajii and Dada Dharmapremanandajii put a huge effort towards raising funds to help the victims of the cyclone in Fiji. The overall prep...aration of the sale items were led by Vinita Kumar and Sunila Dayal, with the entire team assisting. A number of volunteers joined hands to help out at the stall. Being Easter weekend, the markets attracted fewer people but it was a great overall effort. More fundraising events are planned. We look forward to the next fundraising event. Sponsors: Kumar family, Dayal family, Mansi and Ramesh family. Dada Advaetananda in Fiji is continuing strongly with helping the local community affected by Cyclone Winston. Funds raised will be used for that effort. Severe Tropical Cyclone Winston was at peak intensity near Fiji on 20 February 2016. Although time has passed there is still plenty of opportunity for social service work, which Dada is active in. Best wishes AMURT Australia (Brisbane unit)
