21.01.2022 To celebrate Seniors Week 19th -27th of August we are going to launch "The Joy Project" inspired by our meeting with Joy who is 97 and has been a client for 16 years. "The Joy Project" will see Staff and Volunteers visiting clients to catch up with them and take the opportunity to see how we can improve our service, what meals they enjoy most and what they would like to see added to the menu. Alexi our Business Development Manager was there to hear Joys secret to a long life. Can you guess what it is?

17.01.2022 Recently we were able to help a lovely lady who was going through a difficult time. Its reasons like this that Meals On Wheels exists. If you or anyone you know is in need of help, please dont hesitate to contact us. Below is a letter we received to day: "Hello All at St Lucia Meals on Wheels and Second Bite, ... I just want to say a big thank you for your generous donation of food to me and my little family. I never imagined Id be in a situation where I didnt have enough money to buy food for dinner but it happened to me! I always worked, but the death of my husband after a long terminal illness, resulted in me having to give up my career for several years, and aged parents who lived with us before that. Raising a grand daughter and intermittently supporting mentally challenged adult sons has taken its toll on me financially and emotionally. Its a temporary situation as Ive sold our home in order to pay bills and Im fortunate Im able to return to work at age 67. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for supporting us through this difficult time in our lives with fresh food and vegetables." See more

08.01.2022 Meals on Wheels will soon lose all government funding. We are reaching out to the younger community and university students of St Lucia and surrounding suburbs.
