24.01.2022 Here is another time consuming job that can’t be seen when finished. The owner was complaining about a loud rattling noise in the engine, Shaking and lack of power. The result was stretched timing chains and broken guides. If he continued driving like that it would’ve resulted in chains breaking and causing extensive engine damage. ... My advice to all is know your vehicle and if any out of the ordinary noises arise get them checked out. Could save you some money.

14.01.2022 Here you can see what it looks like behind the black covers in front of your engine. We are replacing the timing belt and all pulleys including the water pump. The main reason why we always recommend to replace the water pump when replacing the timing belt is clearly shown in the pics below. For the sake of an extra couple hundred dollars you save yourself paying for all this work again if the water pump fails. ... Trust your mechanic when he throws out a recommendation it’s only for your benefit.

10.01.2022 Many people driving a manual vehicle don’t have a full understanding about how a clutch system works. This part in the photos is called a clutch fork, one out of many other parts in the clutch system. It disengages the clutch when the pedal is pressed down. As you can see it’s split which is making the clutch pedal travel down to the floor but the clutch is not disengaging. So in actual fact the clutch itself is in good working order.

02.01.2022 An engine overheating doesn’t necessarily have to have a coolant leak. In this case the water pump blades corroded away which caused no coolant circulation resulting in engine overheating. Know your vehicle and keep an eye on your temperature gauge.
