20.01.2022 Anne came to me just over a year ago simply saying that’s she’s approaching 70 and just wants to stay fit and that weights bore me so you better make it interesting. Well fast forward to now and all she wants to now is use to big circle weights on the bar, they look cool. She is such a hard worker and continues to give it 100% and never ever complains despite her injuries, joint issues, muscle pain, etc. Sure we get funny looks when i’m loading up a squat rack for a near 70 year old but hey she absolutely loves it and the strength, muscle growth, and confidence in the gym that she has gained makes my job so worth it. I mean just look at that smile after finally smashing that 40kg squat goal! So proud of you Anne! You can go have your tim tams now

14.01.2022 Nothing impressive here ~~ Simply a post to remind you that it’s okay to not feel like training, to be in a really cbf mood sometimes. But what’s most important is whether you let that feeling actually stop you from reaching those goals you’ve set yourself. Today was one of those days for me when i really couldn’t think of anything worse than doing deadlifts today But instead of sitting on my ass and not doing anything i just went through my normal warm up routine *still didn’t feel like doing them*, started my set *still wasn’t feeling it*, got to my last set *still cbf* and then all of a sudden I was done haha. We can’t completely block out negative feelings, but we can choose how we respond to them! Keep grinding fam

You aren’t going to ‘lose your gains’ if you take a little break, it might actually be what you need to refresh yourself Then once you’re ready get back to the grind and keep crushing those goals Here’s a very comfortable 4x5@150kg
09.01.2022 Well it has been a very long, slow, frustrating, and painful road to recovery but today after 18 months i have finally reached my previous squat PB of 180kg from before i injured my back. Absolutely beyond stoked with this and can’t wait to see where i can take it now! Bring on 200!! Big thanks to @xtra_hiit for the xtra sense of safety with the spot
