This spectacular 1967 280 SL Mercedes-Benz spent some time at the workshop having a full engine rebuild, automatic transmission overhaul, mechanical fuel pump rebuild, power steering box and power steering pump overhaul, distributor rebuild, and electronic fuel pump overhaul. 08.01.2022 Another "bad noise" job! Owner was driving past the workshop at just the right time... he had run out of brake pads! While we all love to stretch the dollar, it's not worth the risk when it comes to maintaining one of the most important parts! A very lucky customer indeed, our boys discovered he had worn away all his pad and was braking metal on metal! Yup, that explains the horrific sound. 08.01.2022 Another big job in the shop this week. A Toyota Hilux 4WD came in with a unknown engine noise, that it's owner knew was not right! The mechanics at Andris Automotive did a compression test and leak down test, and found the engine to have bent valves. Upon removing the cylinder head, our mechanics discovered damaged pistons! This old work horse was treated to full engine rebuild, diesel pump and injector overhaul... popped it all back into the car and is running like a dream! 01.01.2022 Oh boy... this Mitsubishi Triton Ute came in for "water loss", turns out it was a blown cylinder head gasket! Kind of a big deal!
