25.01.2022 Proven way to increase #revenue According to a report by Bersin by Deloitte, companies with meaningful employee recognition can expect a +14% hike in employee #engagement rates. What does that actually mean?... Well, companies with higher employee engagement scores yield twice as much customer #loyalty and subsequently perform 20% or better in annual revenue than their disengaged competitors. Deloitte goes on to share that effective and consistent employee recognition improves #turnover by 31% If you are running an organisation or are in #Sales, #Marketing, do you include recognition programs when setting your strategies to increase revenue? If you are in #HR, do you run these programs, to increase engagement? If you do, how confident are you that it is working the way it should? Here is a quick #QUIZ to see how you might rank. 25.01.2022 Is your company using #OKRs? OKR = Objectives and Key Results, This is a simple tool that helps an organisation achieve #goals by building specific and measurable actions as well as communicating and monitoring progress toward them.... Based on the premise that: Goals must have a sense of #WHY So you can set Objectives that out-line the #WHAT To then achieve the #HOW by measuring the Key Results Take a look at this #TEDTalk from John Doerr, who introduced the concept to Google in the 1990s. Measure what really matters #purpose #why #results https://lnkd.in/fS5Tenc

21.01.2022 Including #incentive programs in your #marketing plans will help not only increase your bottom line but also strengthen your company #culture. It will create loyalty and #engagement with your stakeholders - staff, suppliers or clients. These sort of programs are a valuable method to achieve longer-term #business objectives but they require careful and thoughtful planning.... So if you are in charge of your #marketing, #sales or #HR, and have decided to run a DIY program, its important to make sure you do it right! #incentiveprograms #marketplanning #engagements

21.01.2022 What to consider when you are running #incentiveprograms in-house? Here are a few reasons why you might think about #outsourcing:: There are multiple individuals maintaining the incentive system at moderate salary budgets.... Your program lacks accountability, reporting tools, and cost/benefit outcomes. Employees complain about inconsistent practices and/or a lack of meaningful rewards. NOW THINK ABOUT the challenge, the cost and the expectations. THE #CHALLENGE Choosing between running programs in-house or using an #outsourced provider will usually boils down to one or more challenges like looking at "how to": #Value each persons contribution in the program #Track and manage the data Extract an #ROI or #ROO? THE #COST The most common objection to outsourcing involves money . Executives often feel that they can do everything cheaper and better in-house. But what about the hidden cost. Have you considered the cost 1 To internal teams that have to support the program, which, depending on the company and its program, could be a #full-time job for some over and above their normal work load. 2 Of doing a program wrong. The true role of a quality incentive supplier is #insurance. There is less chance of a disaster, overpaying, unintended consequence, etc. The cost of amateur design and operation is hard to quantify but is real. 3 Of not being able to benefit from what a third-party provider can bring: #innovative ideas and new direction, culled from working with dozens of previous clients who may have faced the same motivational challenges. THE #EXPECTATION ALWAYS keep #expectations realistic. Although programs will use awards as a carrot, you must understand that there may be other issues that need to be addressed that awards wont impact. Many sales problems are training or process-related, not motivation-related. It is also key that the salespeoples goals involve reaching sales targets, and not only achieving a certain number of points. Incentives and recognition are great when it is the right answer, but only when its the best way to get the best program.

18.01.2022 Do you have #ChannelPartners or #Distributors? How do you use #incentives in your marketing strategy to get #amongst your customers? Here are a few ideas: #Engage offer market insights and product knowledge and offer VIP status with more recognition.... Partner with organisations that have products and services that compliment yours. This will spread expenses, create a better value proposition, and help with customer #retention and #acquisition. Values - partners and customers care little about business #values, and usually make decisions based on the personal. Promoting your personal values with your brand values will always be more effective. High-Margin increase #motivation to promote rewards for your high-margin products. Inclusions add things like warranties, registrations or post sales services to the #rewardsprogram. This will also make these services seen as a normal part of the sale. Training Provide training to the channel #sales reps on new product knowledge, certifications, and safety policies. This will also help to ensure that the end-customers is also trained. Channel #incentiveprograms cannot be cookie cutter. To be a powerful sales and #marketing tool, ensure you combine creativity and strategic thinking to meet your needs.

17.01.2022 Travel #experiences inspire priceless memories. How and why they #motivate: They are more attractive than, bonuses that will usually be spent on necessities such as bills or household. Travel provides a fun treat that leaves people feeling #appreciated and happier.... Most people prefer memorable #experiences over things. There is a more lasting effect from the excitement leading up to the trip, to satisfaction long after it has occurred. The possibility of travel provides a #focus, giving something to work for and perform. It also increases morale. A holiday or experience provides rest and #relaxation which is necessary for a good working attitude. Travel has #universal appeal. It is incredibly unlikely that someone would not appreciate a getaway of some sort. #incentives #engagement #marketing #sales

15.01.2022 The way an #incentive scheme is chosen and implemented can be the difference between its success and failure. Here are a few reasons why they may not be working for you: You dont have any clear #objectives if you havent defined what you want to achieve you may have the wrong scheme. ... You have not made the #rewards and incentives relevant to your staff Incentives dont motivate people unless they see value in the reward - it needs to be meaningful. Its only working for a minority Your rewards must be fair with #targets based on employees roles, experience, seniority, and any other factors. You havent explained what the #benefits are Look for their views before introducing a scheme, and use the feedback to helps determine what the benefit and incentives are. Your rewards are short-lived Cash or a gift as a bonus for hard work are short-lived. They are soon forgotten and therefore dont deliver any lasting benefits to the employer. Continually #communicate and promoting your scheme to remind employees that theyre available and the benefits

14.01.2022 #Intrinsic #motivation: behaviour that is driven by internal rewards. In other words, the motivation to engage in a behaviour arises from within the individual because it is naturally satisfying to you. The other side of this is #extrinsic #motivation. Which involves engaging in a behaviour in order to earn external rewards or avoid punishment.... How are you motivated? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NgjvgjNZ7I4

14.01.2022 I guess its always important to get the right engagement Happy Wednesday !

14.01.2022 Organising your own #EVENT? Here is what can go wrong and how to handle/prevent them. Attendee Dropouts This may be because the event is poorly or incorrectly promoted. You need more than high-quality content and excellent organisation to get people to attend to your event. Its about convincing them they cannot miss out. This means a concerted effort with marketing.... Unorganised entertainment Even if everything seems to be going smoothly and your program is perfect, attendees could still get bored with the entertainment. This is all they will remember. Always have a Plan B ready especially if you cannot predict the audience and what they may enjoy. Your venue cancels on you Yes. This can and does happen. Try to have a few options to fall back on, keep useful contacts and think about using different types of venues (shared workspaces, exhibition halls, concert halls, outdoor spaces, etc.). Security risk Successful security at public events is essential and requires preparation and planning between the organisers and security officers. Always have both people and equipment in reserve to react in an emergency situation especially for large scale public events. Technical issues This is always a potential risk, so its ideal to have separate Wi-Fi attendees, to hire professional technicians, and use new hardware and software for speedy check-in. Technical issues should be taken as serious as security. Unexpected weather Bad weather can ruin your event no matter where its being held. However, people will still come if you use tools like social media, instant digital channels, and other marketing plus a clear budget that contains contingencies. Unclear budget There is no way you can start planning without a clearly defined budget and trained staff, because when event planning goes wrong, its most likely due to budget gaps. Bad time management Even if the budget, programme, entertainment, logistics, and promotion are all in place, bad timing and poor time management can spoil everything at the eleventh hour. So its imperative that you use professional event management systems, create and manage an attendees list, delegate roles, and hire staff to ensure effective time management. Queues One of the biggest issues with events is: too many people arriving (at the same time) and getting stuck in a bottleneck before they even walk in. Use the right technologies to stop this from happening. To summarise always follow these principles: Prepare for the worst. Test equipment twice. Have a clear Plan B. Hire the right staff and train your staff for unexpected conditions. Get everything down in writing. Always remember that its normal for problems to occur, and sometimes theyre not even anyones fault.

12.01.2022 Interesting insight on measuring the intangible value of #incentiveprograms. ROI vs VOI Summary of attached paper from The Incentives Research Foundation:... If incentives are used as the sole motivator and dangled continuously like a carrot to coerce behaviour or action, their effect is diminished. Professionals must consider the wider #motivational environment. When rewards are designed to reinforce #recognition, they play a vital role in supporting the universal human motivators of purpose, autonomy, connection and learning. The benefits of #noncashrewards programs include significant intangible value. Although difficult to measure, they may rival a programs the financial impact. Be sure to estimate the impact and value of the intangible benefits and report them. Love to hear how you measure your intangible outcomes. #incentives #research #valueinvesting
