25.01.2022 We need your help and your BOOKS! Angaza Beyond is a humanitarian project aiming to provide six fully equipped Shipping Container Libraries to six schools in the slums of Nairobi, Kenya. These libraries will help enlighten children to a future beyond the slums where they live.... We are asking the Illawarra community & beyond for donations of books to stock these libraries! With every book donated we ask that a gold coin donation be given as well to cover the cost of shipping! Check out the photo below for more details on what to donate! Books can be donated anytime between 9am and 5pm Sunday to Friday at Figtree Anglican Church, 4-10 Gibsons Road, Figtree NSW 2525 (next to Figtree High School) OR they can be posted to the above address! 22.01.2022 We had nearly 1000 books donated at Figtree Community Carols this past weekend! We'd like to say a BIG thankyou to all those who bought in books to donate! It takes around 6000 books to fill a shipping container and we're definitely getting close to filling our first. If you still have books to donate we'd love them! You can drop them off at Figtree Anglican Church (4 - 10 Gibsons Rd, Figtree NSW 2525) or alternatively you can post them to us at the same address!... Also if you have any fabric tote bags or have some fabric and would like to make up some to bring in we'd love them as well for the kids to have book bags!

19.01.2022 There are so many benefits of reading! Why not give the gift of a book to a child in need by buying or simply pulling from your bookshelf a book to donate! Donations can be taken to Figtree Anglican Church, 4 - 10 Gibsons Rd, Figtree, 2525. Or alternatively can be posted there! ... Don't forget to include a gold coin donation to cover the cost of shipping for each book you donate!

We'd especially like to... thank you for your generosity! As a community we raised just over $2000 for the Rural Fire Services and nearly 1000 books were donated for our Angaza Beyond Shipping Container Libraries Project! ~ Like us on Facebook - Figtree Anglican Church ~ If you would like to keep up to date with more events that our church runs please like our Figtree Anglican Facebook Page.
