22.01.2022 Heading to Cairns for the weekend. The last time I was here was 1977! It might have changed just a bit since then. Looking forward to sharing with the ladies of Far North Qld @ CWCI Conference.

21.01.2022 Does Speed Matter? That's my challenge this week, as I go about my work. An old Chinese Proverb says Be not afraid of going slowly, be afraid only of standing still. Read my blog at https://www.angelamay.online/blog/2020/6/7/does-speed-matter

17.01.2022 Commencing Monday 19th July, I will be speaking at various events in Central Qld, starting in Gladstone - my hometown, with a morning tea. I am really looking forward to this week long road trip and catching up with lovely ladies along the way. Most of the events I speak at will be small gatherings of women in rural and remote areas, with some gatherings in larger regional areas. This week long 'Safari' will cover Rockhampton, Yeppoon, Woorabinda, Baralaba, Emerald, Blackwater, Springsure and Moura. If you are in any of these areas, watch out for flyers and events, like the Gladstone one listed below.

16.01.2022 This Mother’s Day, I am thankful for the two who call me mother. Being a mother is a significant part of my identity; and for a long time, the largest part. Thank you, God, for helping me to be that mother https://www.angelamay.online//thank-you-god-for-the-two-wh

16.01.2022 I had the privilege of being the keynote speaker at CWCI's regional training day on the weekend. I was also blessed to catchup with old friends -and my daughter during my visit.

16.01.2022 What does an archeological dig have in common with a puppy called Daisy? Not much actually, but this image is a metaphor for going deep and rediscovering the riches of wonder which leads to worship. Our new puppy Daisy has been my invitation to go slow and an opportunity to reactivate wonder, and worship. Read more...... https://www.angelamay.online/blog/2021/1/17/going-deep

14.01.2022 What if the difference between existing and living, is not emptying our minds of everything- past, present and future; but, rather filling our minds with the presence of the living God, allowing Him to transform us with His love? 14.01.2022 Those of you that know me, know I love baking. But, more than that, I love sharing my baking and feeding people. Hospitality is close to my heart, and a huge part of my spirituality. This new- and adfitional website is dedicated to this passion, along with an IG and FB page. You may also call me 'The Contemplative Cook'!

12.01.2022 Here is something a bit different this week. This video devotional was one I especially prepared for Qld Baptist Women-Anew Conference page. I didn't realise until I started recording just what a noisy household I live in! https://www.facebook.com/137262996336898/posts/2981354791927690/

11.01.2022 While I am not a big supporter of Valentine’s Day, I am a big supporter of love; of being loved and loving every day of the year. Loving wholeheartedly, and living wholeheartedly is a lifestyle and not just a day. If I want to live life deeply, then I must have an earnest commitment to love no matter what tomorrow brings. How would you paint that? Read more... https://www.angelamay.online//2/2/14/loving-wholeheartedly

10.01.2022 Love this saying, printed on the wall of the conference room we are meeting in this morning. "Never believe that a few caring people can't change the world. For, indeed, that's all who ever have. " (Margaret Mead 1901-1978)

07.01.2022 One of my passions and pastimes is baking. I have started another insta account for especially sharing these things. I thought I would share that with you too for the first time.... Straight from the oven- glutenfree sourdough bread served with avocado. Yum! Of course I had to taste the crust with lashings of butter! Thanks @madmilliekits for the sourdough starter and the recipe. Living in regional Queensland has its challenges, especially when you are looking for alter...native flours such as sorghum flour. Thanks to @lolaswheatfreeworld I was able to get the Aussie product delivered to my door. This ancient grain Sorghum has got me intrigued enough to break my grain free diet. Having said that, this recipe has a mixture of other GF alternate flours including rice and tapioca. My first loaf is not as aerated as I had assumed. I will have to work on that next loaf For now I am a little bit proud of my first ever sourdough loaf. #glutenfree #ancientgrains #sourdough #sorghumflour

01.01.2022 This week, I reflect on working hard chasing goals. What good is it though, if we stop half way exhausted, and all we do is spin in circles? Nearly 5 months of the year are behind us. How are you going with your goals for 2021? Are you on track, or spinning in circles? https://www.angelamay.online//rowing-in-circles-stop-and-l
