23.01.2022 Hello teachers and parents :-) Thought of adding bicycle education to your term 4 at your school? Our bookings for bicycle incursions are open. We provide training to all of the years, which runs for four to six weeks fitting into your PE.... The training aims to turn students into capable, confident riders who can safely ride with their family, perhaps even to school. We can provide a bicycle fleet for those who may not own a bike We can do a group bike services before the training begins at your school We run volunteer and adult training for parents who are keen to ride with their kids, but dont feel they are confident and skilled enough yet Contact us for a customised quote. Grants are available through Department of Transport, RAC and Sporting Schools Funding

19.01.2022 Thank you Aubin Grove for a fabulous first Cockburn Community Ride on Mothers Day We made brand new friends at our starting point and explored little pocket parks along the western side of the freeway, made our way to Cockburn Central train station and back along the zoom, zoom high speed freeway path. We talked about how to check your children can reach the brake levers on their handle bar and adjusted handle bar and lever positions to make the ride more comfy and safe.... Thank you for Aubin Grove Community Association for helping us spread the word. We'll be starting future Cockburn Community Rides from Aubin Grove every second Sunday

16.01.2022 Today the year 5/6 at St Josephs had an amazing day. Why? They went on a social ride as part of their bicycle education. In total we rode 18km...and had a ball Well done everyone, what an achievement to ride safely and with confidence as a group. We mastered rail way crossings, traffic lights and street crossing. Easy with all of the newly learned safe riding habits

07.01.2022 "Why am I incapable of teaching my own child how to ride a bicycle?" Its a question we get asked often and the parents guilt is palpable. Why? We wonder. For example, many adults can write and read and yet we send our children to school were other people teach those skills. Just because as adults we are great at a skill doesnt mean we are also automatically great at teaching said skill. And yes, we do offer private one-on-one classes for children (and adults). Why not join the Cockburn Community Ride tomorrow morning? Were excited to meet you Sunday morning, 9am at Mooba Cafe, opposite Cockburns Train Station. So, pump up your tyres, get your bottle of water and coins for coffee ready, set your alarm!... The Cockburn Community Ride is non-competitive, non-judgemental. Anyone no matter the age or fitness is welcome. We adapt the ride length and speed to suit everyone.
