23.01.2022 Little Grace was 10 days overdue, quite happy to stay tucked inside mum’s womb where it was nice and warm. Much to everyone’s delight however, she was born at 9.01pm on a cold winter’s night into the arms of her adoring parents. What a beautiful birth! 22.01.2022 When I met Lauren & Jordan for the very first time it was at their engagement party, little did I know that 4 years later I would be photographing the arrival of their baby girl. Blog: http://www.angelahardyphotography.com.au/alexis/

21.01.2022 It’s not every day that I get to photograph a birth, so when Vanessa & Darren invited me to document baby Judah’s arrival, I was so excited I ended up on their door step at the first signs of labour 33 hours too early. Blog: http://www.angelahardyphotography.com.au/hello-judah/

21.01.2022 That incredible moment after delivery - when you finally get to admire the tiny human who's been growing in your womb for the past 9 months

20.01.2022 I first met Cassandra at a little cafe in Maitland NSW back in January 2015. She was a professional birth doula and as I was only just starting out in my birth photography journey, I was excited to talk to her about all things birth related! Over a year later, I had the honour of photographing the arrival of Cassandra’s 3rd baby girl, Megan Melody. This was my first home birth, and with the very last rays of sunshine streaming through the windows, one of my most memorable cap...tures to date. I arrived at Cassandra and Matt’s house to find Cass well into established labour, little Penelope keeping close to support her mum. It wasn’t long before Cass climbed into the birth pool, her lovely doula Gwen and husband Matt supporting and encouraging her all the way. With the assistance of the beautiful midwives from Best Life Birth, sweet baby Megan arrived within minutes and surprised all of us. The moments after Megan’s birth were simply precious. Watching her mother cry and then laugh with joy, seeing her two sisters meeting her for the first time, seeing her father embrace her in his arms, and her grandmother beyond giddy at her arrival beautiful, fleeting moments that I’ll treasure forever.

20.01.2022 I received a call at exactly 2:00am last Saturday morning with the exciting news that baby Meirah was on her way... Blog: http://www.angelahardyphotography.com.au/meirah/

17.01.2022 This beautiful mother's biggest fear in life was hospitals, needles, and not having her birth wishes heard. She fought for the birth that she dreamed of, and hired an independent midwife to guide her at the birth of her 2nd baby girl in the security and peacefulness of her own home. "It was the empowerment I needed and deserved; No hospital, no needles, no drugs, and no interventions." Thank you Skye for allowing me into your sacred birth space to capture Stevie's arrival x

14.01.2022 The birth of Judah was one of my very first birth documentaries. I watched this beautiful couple support each other endlessly through the highs and lows of labour. Witnessing their journey was a privilege I'll never forget, and I can't wait to capture it all again soon when their new baby girl is due to arrive.

13.01.2022 It's not very often I get to document an epidural so today was extra special.

08.01.2022 It's a very special day today for a precious little girl named Meirah. She entered the world 2 years ago today as the sun popped it's head through the clouds. Happy birthday sweet princess - I hope today is filled with lots of cuddles and adventure

08.01.2022 On 2 June 2014, I was invited to document the arrival of baby Maya. Her entry into the world was my very first birth. I was a bundle of nerves and excitement when arriving at John Hunter Hospital, and within 10 minutes of walking into the room, little Maya had arrived to everyone’s delight. I can’t thank you enough Louise + Keiran for inviting me into your birth space. Blog: http://www.angelahardyphotography.com.au/maya/

07.01.2022 BIRTH HIGHLIGHT // It's been almost 2.5 years since the home water birth of Stevie Jade. While I was chatting with her mum today -asking permission to share this powerful image of overwhelming triumph, I realised whole heartedly just how important my role is for women wanting to document such a sacred, and intimate event. The birth of a child only happens once - and I've been so blessed to witness and document so many birthdays these past 5 years. Thank you to all my beautiful clients who invite me to be a part of these life changing moments x Stevie's Birth: http://bit.ly/2lQv2zb

06.01.2022 As the sun popped it's glorious head above the horizon last Saturday at 5am, we welcomed little Naomi Sophia Dawn to the world. A huge congratulations to Darren, Vanessa and big sister Judah. More on the blog here: http://www.angelahardyphotography.com.au/newcastle-birth-p/

03.01.2022 I first met Lauren and Joel at Papa’s Bagel Bar in the heart of Newcastle, they were keen to find out more about birth photography and I was only to happy to answer all their questions. Blog: http://www.angelahardyphotography.com.au/the-birth-of-sonn/

03.01.2022 I’d like you to meet Marcus his birth story is one that I always want to remember for so many reasons. His beautiful mum Marnie brought him into the world by VBAC. Her courage and determination to deliver Marcus the way she intended, was an extraordinary testiment to her character and strength. So much so, the phrase I am woman, hear me roar came to mind many times during his delivery. Blog: http://www.angelahardyphotography.com.au/marcus/

03.01.2022 Wow! What a crazy Christmas season it's been and we're already in the first week of January - I feel like I literally just blinked and missed the whole thing! I... want to start the year by sharing some gorgeous photos with you of baby Soul's birth. This divine little girl made her way into the world at 10:20pm on 27 November 2017 weighing 3.67kg or 8lb 2oz. Congratulations Cara + Dane and thank you for inviting me into your birth space to document such a beautiful arrival surrounded by family See more

02.01.2022 Birth is deeply vulnerable, but that's a good thing. In these moments, vulnerability gives us an opportunity to rely heavily on those we love the most, it allows us to share our fears, and it reminds us that we are capable of stretching in ways we hadn't known before. 01.01.2022 At 4:45am on the 26th July, I received a phone call from an apologetic Isabel who felt terrible for waking me up so early. It was the phone call I had been waiting so long for, and as I launched out of bed and threw my clothes on (back to front, upside down, inside out), I was thanking God that it wasn’t rush hour and the roads would be wide open and empty.
