25.01.2022 Nighttime Skincare Routine If you can commit to doing the bare minimum each morning and making that extra time investment into your skin, you’re already well ahead of the curve. However, you’ll need to incorporate just a few more steps, nightly and weekly, into your PM routine in order to keep your complexion in tip top shape. Nightly:... Step 1: Makeup Removal Your eye area is host to the most sensitive skin on your face and is also this first area to show aging. Avoid having to scrub and tug at this gentle area by using a dissolving eye makeup remover and cotton pad, few makeup removing wipes are saturated with enough product to be effective in this way. Step 2: Cleanser A water based cleanser is necessary to lift and remove water based free radical damaging agents at the end of the day. Step 3: Toner The unsung hero of the skin care regimen, toner is essential for balancing skin pH and prepping skin for all of the ingredients and formulas that follow. After patting skin dry with a towel, apply a quarter-sized amount of product by pressing it onto your face, not swabbing it on with a cotton pad. Step 4: Serum Serums are the most potent and customizable step in your skincare routine, and, depending on what issues you’re having with your complexion, will determine exactly which product you will need. A good rule of thumb is to focus more on hydration and regeneration with your nighttime formula, while sticking with a Vitamin C or antioxidant-rich option during the day. Step 6: Night Cream The final step in your nightly routine should always be a viscous moisturizer to seal in the effects of all the hard work you’ve put in to the previous steps. Sleeping masks and night creams are intended to still be lingering in the AM, therefore also starting your morning routine with an oil based cleanser is an absolute must in order to begin your day with properly cleansed skin. Weekly: Physical Exfoliation The removal of dead skin cells at the surface level is vital to improving overall texture and tone, but harsh scrubs and granular exfoliants often cause more damage than they do good. It’s important to use gentle powders and polishes. And use them sparingly physical exfoliants should never be used more than twice a week. Tell us about your nighttime skincare routine! What works for you?

23.01.2022 Dawn ‘til Dusk Skin Protection Sunshine is a solid source of vitamin D, but too much sun exposure can be harmful to our skin. 1. Protect: Help them choose a face moisturiser like Protective Day Cream or Lotion to hydrate and help protect their skin.... 2. Lotion is best for oily/combination skin, and cream is better for dry/sensitive skin. Let your customers try both moisturiser to feel the difference. Remind them to regularly reapply sunscreen on any exposed parts of the skin at least every two hours or after swimming or sweating. 3. Shield: It’s important to carry sunglasses, a wide brimmed hat, or a sun umbrella while outdoors. Encourage your customers to search for shady spots for lunch or while exercising outside to stay protected from too much sunshine. Wearing lightweight, cotton long-sleeved shirts is a perfect example of protective sunshine wear to stay cool and shielded. Especially if they’re boating, swimming, or by other reflective surfaces, sun damage is highly likely. 4. Soothe: According to an article on the American Skin Association, sun rays affect the epidermis, the outermost layer of skin. When the sun’s rays penetrate the dermis layer of the skin after prolonged, unprotected exposure, skin reacts by producing chemicals that irritate tiny blood vessels. It’s this irritation and swelling that results in a red, uncomfortable sunburn. Soothe skin with aloe vera, cool baths, and plenty of rehydration from moisturiser and drinking extra water. Watch for any discoloured moles or bumps and visit a dermatologist yearly for regular skin checks. 5. Practice Sun Protection The most effective way to introduce customers to healthy skincare habits and Celavive is by using the products yourself while you’re out and about. Pack your Celavive moisturiser in your beach bag and reapply often. Opportunities are everywhere. If you’re staying protected from the sun, rocking your shades, and looking fabulous in that wide brim hat, others will feed off your energy.

17.01.2022 The immune system and skin Skin provides protection from foreign invaders in several ways. Apart from the physical barrier, there are specialised cells of the immune system throughout the layers of the skin. Some of these cells detect invasion by foreign proteins, such as bacteria and viruses, and other cells have the function of destroying and removing such material.... It is more important than ever to boost your immune system and improve your skin condition. Please ask to find out how.
