13.01.2022 Our chooks living the dream life. This is Pastured Eggs. Put simply, chooks on grass all day, everyday. Our vans are open 24/7 for them to enter and exit as they please. They are protected from foxes by electric nets which are energised 24/7. We can move them as we please with every element of their set up being portable. Our girls are actually on the move tonight and will wake up in the middle of last season's veggie patch tomorrow morning. They will feast and scratch and help us prepare those beds for new planting . This is #beyondfreerange where birds can still be confined to sheds under Australian standards. Know the difference #giveacluck #tarrawallafarm #pasturedeggs

10.01.2022 An update on our eggs for locals trying to get their hands on them... We are continuing to supply Wangaratta Wholefoods, Your Everyday Gourmet (in Wangaratta) and the Beechworth Food Co-op. Eggs went to our two Wangaratta retailers this morning, and we will have eggs in Beechworth Wednesday or Thursday at this stage As our cafes are faced with the challenge of closure and limited to take away meals, this means we are redirecting as much of our produce as possible to our reta...ilers so we hope to have a constant supply headed to these three businesses. We are still debating our farmgate. We don't want to open ourselves to theft during this time and we prefer not to handle cash, so we may open up pre-paid orders for farmgate collection. We will update you on this if/when we will proceed with this model. For now, these three local businesses would value your support and I can guarantee they are a much calmer environment than the big supermarkets at the moment. You can support us by supporting them See more

09.01.2022 Did you know our eggs are available at Beechworth Food Co-op? Did you know you can shop online? Did you know that you can get lots of local produce here, all in one spot? Did you know they prioritise stocking local and/or organic wherever possible? Did you know you don't have to be a member to shop?! (Members get a discount and you are always welcome to join)... Go on, check it out!

06.01.2022 We have been a bit quiet on social media lately but rest assured we are powering on and "quiet" our life certainly is not. Six months ago we welcomed our new baby girl Ebony and took a slight step back with the farm to allow us some space in our life to find our new normal. We have been plugging away slowly at some farm projects such as a cool room and plans for a commercial kitchen which will one day open up numerous opportunities for us to connect with more people on our f...arm and do more with our own produce. We have welcomed three calves and have a few more due soon. Another flock of chooks will arrive in the coming weeks and we will be back on track keeping you all stocked up with eggs from our pastures. We are working on our new solar business @crawford_electrical_solar (so be sure to follow us there too where we will be showcasing all the ways you can move forward with your farm and home sustainably using the power of the sun ) Steve has been flat out with CFA duties of late which takes its toll on family, farm & business. He is passionate about protecting our community and giving back where he can. Just last week four of his pics made the local rag and one of which made front page! Life is busy but we are still here in the background working harder than ever and trying to sneak in some family time in the precious few moments we get. Social media has slipped a long way on our priorities of late but we wanted to say thank you to everyone who checks in and continues to support our farm and our family @ Tarrawingee, Victoria, Australia
