We expect a fall of natural snow on Wednesday but please note there is no natural snow at the moment on Lake Mountain. See more

05.01.2022 I painted this panoramic view of Gallipoli Park, Marysville, in 1993. It is meant to be an idyllic and humorous scene. Sixteen years later, and ten years ago to...night, this place had turned into a vision of hell as hundreds of people sheltered there from the raging Black Saturday fire that destroyed much of the town and killed thirty people in Marysville alone. The hall on the right was one of the 400 local buildings that burnt down. One can see the giant gum trees surrounding the oval that flamed and crashed that awful night. Tonight, let us remember the neighbours who saved neighbours, the people who risked their lives for others and be grateful to them that many more were not lost. See more
