23.01.2022 Do you prefer your food to be savoury rather than sweet? Then it just so happens that we have the recipe to create a special type of fairy bread just for you! Ingredients: 60g (1/3 cup) pepitas 55g (1/3 cup) sunflower seeds... 55g (1/3 cup) sesame seeds 1 teaspoon turmeric 1/2 teaspoon ground cumin 2 teaspoons extra virgin olive oil 1 large ripe avocado 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice 6 slices bread, cut into quarters Recipe: 1. Place the pepitas, sunflower seeds, sesame seeds, turmeric and cumin in a bowl and toss to combine. Heat the oil in a frying pan over medium heat. Add the seed mixture. Cook, stirring, for 2-3 minutes or until aromatic and lightly toasted. Season with salt and transfer to a plate. Set aside to cool. 2. Use a fork to mash the avocado in a bowl. Stir in the lemon juice. Spread avocado mixture over the bread. Place a piece of bread, avocado-side down, into the seed mixture and press gently to coat. Repeat with the remaining bread and seed mixture.

23.01.2022 If you have some bread at home, heres something tasty you could try whipping up! Its called Bread Pudding! Ingredients: 2 cups milk 2 tablespoons (1/4 stick) unsalted butter, more for greasing pan... 1 teaspoon vanilla extract cup sugar Pinch salt loaf bread or brioche or raisin bread, cut into 2-inch cubes (about 5 to 6 cups) 2 eggs, beaten Recipe: 1. Heat oven to 350 degrees. In a small saucepan over low heat, warm milk, butter, vanilla, sugar and salt until the butter melts, then leave it to cool. Meanwhile, butter a 4-to-6-cup baking dish and fill it with cubed bread. 2. Add eggs to cooled milk mixture and whisk; pour mixture over bread. Bake for 30 to 45 minutes, or until custard is set but still a little wobbly and edges of bread have browned. Serve warm or at room temperature.

22.01.2022 Our CEO Mr Ian Roberts with Mr Michael Healy MP today.

22.01.2022 Heres another bread recipe! This one is for all you garlic lovers out there. Its called Garlic Bread Potato Bake! Ingredients: 1.8kg desiree potatoes 1 brown onion, halved, thinly sliced... 375ml (1 1/2 cups) pouring cream 300g piece of day-old sourdough bread (see note) 125g butter 4 garlic cloves, crushed 1 teaspoon all purpose seasoning 1/4 cup chopped fresh continental parsley leaves, plus extra, to sprinkle 40g (1/2 cup) grated cheddar Recipe: 1. Preheat oven to 180C/160C fan forced. Lightly grease a shallow 2.5L (10 cup) ovenproof dish. 2. Thinly slice the potatoes crossways into 5mm slices. Layer the potatoes and onions into the prepared dish, seasoning well with salt and pepper between layers. Pour over the cream. Cover tightly with foil and cook for 1 hour or until potatoes are nearly tender. 3. Meanwhile, use a serrated knife to cut the bread into 2cm pieces. Transfer bread pieces to a large bowl. Heat the butter and garlic in a small saucepan over medium heat until the butter is foamy. Add to the bread along with the all purpose seasoning and parsley. Toss until evenly combined. 4. Remove the potato bake from the oven and discard the foil. Scatter over the bread mixture and bake for 15 minutes. Remove from oven, sprinkle with cheese and bake for a further 15 minutes or until the bread and cheese are golden. Set aside for 10 minutes. Sprinkle with extra parsley to serve.

20.01.2022 Today I dropped into Anglicare North Queensland with Michael Healy MP to meet some of our fantastic Skilling Queenslanders for Work participants! When the COVI...D-19 shutdown started, the Cert II in Hospitality SQW participants at Anglicare provided care packages and hampers for Queenslanders who needed it most. Our Skilling Queenslanders for Work program has already helped put more than 31,000 Queenslanders into work. This great program was cut by the LNP when they were in government. Im so proud our Palaszczuk Labor Government has not only reinstated it, but expanded it to help even more Queenslanders find a job.
