21.01.2022 Every year the Adopt-a-Family for Christmas appeal brightens the lives of local families facing adversity at Christmas time. Nominated by local charities, the families seeking adoption face serious financial hardship or social dislocation, often through no fault of their own. 2020 has been a difficult year for many of Rockhampton and Livingstone locals, with more families than usual facing a tough Christmas this year. The Adopt-a-Family appeal is your chance to support these members of your local community in the true spirit of Christmas. The Adopt-A-Family for Christmas appeal invites individuals, businesses, clubs, schools, families and workplaces to join together in making sure everyone has a truly merry Christmas. Select the corresponding number of the family you wish to adopt and phone Joan on 4926 0173 or 0412 452 641.
21.01.2022 Congratulations to Anglicare Victoria and The Home Stretch crew especially Paul and Dylan who have driven their campaign. From 1 January 2021, the Home Stretch program will provide an accommodation allowance to every young Victorian in out-of-home care until the age of 21. This means a young person can remain living with their kinship or foster carer if they wish, or transition to supported independent living arrangements. What a fantastic outcome!!! AnglicareCQ are committed to getting Qld over the line next.
