14.01.2022 Fish feel pain just like cats, dogs and people. They react to stress. And they remember. The cruelty we are inflicting on these animals, from depriving them of... their homes by slowly turning lakes and streams to puddles of mud, to dragging them, painfully bound up along the seafloor, is immeasurable. 12.01.2022 Today the Animal Justice Party fought the Right to Farm Bill in NSW parliament. We debated all day until midnight. Now, I am writing to you with news I did not ...want to have to give. We have not gained the votes needed to block this draconian legislation. The final count was 18/19. At times like this, I often wonder how we are all to deal with the total indifference of others. Then I remember advocates such as yourselves who always show the way for kindness and humanity. You are my light in this darkness, and together we will rise above, go beyond, and work harder toward our vision for a better world. Because when we are down, when things do not look in our favor, that's when we are stronger. That's when we fight harder. It reminds us our purpose and what we are up against. Because there are still millions of hens in cages, there are animals mutilated every day without pain relief, and there are animals being shot from the skies. For them, there is no giving up. For them, we stand strong. For them, we rise. Thank you for everything you do for animals xx

08.01.2022 We are in a climate crisis and bushfire seasons are only going to get worse. It has never been more vital that our firefighters receive the funding and support ...they need. Today I stood in solidarity with firefighters here in NSW, who have been tirelessly protecting wildlife, communities and families across our state from the destructive megafires. These brave women and men- who we have seen risking their lives to save individual koalas, gliders and possums from these blazes - urgently need adequate funding - and it is the Government's responsibility to provide it. Thank-you to our firefighters. Thank-you to the 58,000 people who signed this petition calling on the NSW government to increase funding to our fire services. 07.01.2022 EXCITING NEWS! The Upper House just supported my motion condemning the cruel fur trade and congratulating Queen Elizabeth II for removing animal fur from her wa...rdrobe. This is what happens when we get voices for animals in Parliament Over 50 million animals suffer and die as victims of the international fur trade. This includes kangaroos, murdered right here in New South Wales and exported to regions including Europe, Asia and the United States. Animals in the fur trade are killed by anal electrocution, gassing, breaking their necks, or from being skinned alive. With the Upper House in NSW now condemning the fur trade, we can truly say the future of fashion is fur-free!
