25.01.2022 PLEASE DO NOT ABANDON OR SURRENDER YOUR DOG. This classic example of media hype will see more people confused during this time but it’s important to think rationally. This article suggests your dog can give you Coronavirus. The reason? Someone infected with coronavirus could pat the dog, and the pet could return home with residues of the virus still on its coat.... Let’s think about this. ANY SURFACE TOUCHED CAN GIVE YOU CORONAVIRUS. If someone touches a surface, then you rub up against it with your clothes and then touch your clothes and then your face - BAM - you could get it. This is not different and no need to be alarmed at all. Veterinary experts admit the risk for transmission through this path is low.

25.01.2022 ADOPTED! MEET CHEVY - Part of the Cars Litter looking for a forever home! He's got eyes that will melt your heart and the sweetest nature. A really lovely little lad who will fit into almost any forever home. This handsome fellow is one of eight babies born in their owners home and surrendered to ARQ at 11 weeks of age through our last litter program. These babies were born from an accidental litter - dad is a bulldog and mum a german shepherd. These beautiful pups have the... sweetest natures. They're happy go lucky, affectionate and desperate to please. They're very food motivated and training is proving to be quite successful. Unfortunately, their breeder's home struggled to feed all the mouths and so when they arrived they were very underweight. Mum underwent desexing during the cesarean to deliver the pups and funds for the family had been very tight since, especially during these exceptional times. Thankfully they've reached out to ARQ and these babies now have premium puppy food, and will be getting all their vet work done when they've gained a little weight. They love to play are eager to learn new things and are super smart as well. They're only about 3-4kilo in size at 12 weeks old, so they won't be very big full grown (we guesstimate around 30kilos). They're all looking for amazing forever homes. They will need someone who is after a reasonably active dog, perhaps a camping buddy or fellow weekend adventurer. A home where they can be an inside / outside would be ideal, and a part of the family. They wouldn't mind a canine sibling either, or some human ones might be nice as well. DOB: 5 January 2020, Male, German Shepherd x Bulldog Location: Brisbane. Adoption Fee: $895 Adoption fee includes: Desexing, up to date vaccinations, microchipped, wormed, flea and heart worm treated, vet checked and one month FREE pet insurance. A discount of vaccinations and also a discount on grooming. Our dogs also go out on a 14 day settling in period to ensure a perfect fit. We are conducting virtual meet and greets in the foster home, so if interested in 'meeting', please fill in an adoption application at https://www.animalrescueqld.net/adoption-application and we will be in contact. We are also offering contactless delivery of your new fur baby too if needed, just to keep everyone safe during these restrictions.
