25.01.2022 Its always fun playing Guess Who with some of the wildlife that come in.

25.01.2022 Seeing how popular our dentals have become, we will now include a nurse consult as part of our dental procedure. Our nurses will personally examine your pet’s teeth to determine the type of work needed and perform a series of dental x-rays while under anesthetic so we can look at the parts of the teeth that you can’t always see. All of this will now be included as part of our standard dental work indefinitely for the mere price of $395!!! You can call up to book your appointment on 3886 6565.

17.01.2022 Very nice seeing these guys. Just a reminder as we are entering into spring to be aware of the wildlife around you. Not all babies are abandoned or need rescue. So if you see a little guy like this on the ground - Stop, Look around and see if you can find the parents as they might have run off startled by people. Don't be afraid though because they should return to their young. Even if a baby bird has fallen out of the nest the mother will fly down and feed them from the gr...ound. If you see a sick, injured or orphaned animal if its safe to do so then place them in a warm, dark, quiet place and bring them to a clinic. Here at AniMals at Oakey Flat we love all animals and want to make sure they are all kept safe. Please give us a call if you have any questions or if you find an animal in need.

11.01.2022 As we enter into warmer weather fleas and ticks become a common issue. So make sure to pop in and pick up a Simparica to protect your household from these pests and while you're here check out our new product Simparica Trio to protect them from nasty worms too.

11.01.2022 COVID-19 update Animals@Oakeyflat are still committed to providing the same great veterinary service for your beloved pets. To do this we have set up new policies within the clinic to meet the guidelines set by government health departments. Please call the clinic prior to coming down and one of our lovely nurses will advise you of any changes to these policies to help keep all our clients and staff safe and healthy. Animals@oakeyflat would like to thank you for your continued support and understanding during these very unpredictable times.

01.01.2022 Coronavirus Risk Minimisation As the imminent threat of coronavirus approaches us, we as a community have a responsibility to minimise and slow the spread of the disease to protect our vulnerable members. Animals@OakeyFlat Vet Clinic will be monitoring the situation and reacting appropriately.... Currently, we are business as usual. However, you can stay informed via our facebook page, or call the clinic for further information. There is currently no evidence to suggest this coronavirus causes disease in our pets, nor that they can transmit it to humans. (Please also note that the coronavirus vaccine used in dogs is NOT the same as the COVID-19 strain). Idexx laboratory is currently doing extensive testing on both cats and dogs. They have had no positive tests to date. Hand hygiene and social distancing are the most effective ways of minimising viral spread. We are therefore providing a hand sanitiser gel for use on arrival at the clinic, and request that you minimise unnecessary contact with staff and other clients (eg. handshaking and hugging). We may also ask you (or you may prefer) to wait outside or in your car until our veterinarian is ready for you, to avoid overcrowding in the waiting room. If you are unwell, or concerned about entering the clinic, please call ahead and let our staff know so we can arrange appropriate care for your pet. Our team are committed to providing you and your pets with the best possible care, and will take all steps to ensure we can continue to do so.
