19.01.2022 How are you? Most of us answer with good, okay or not bad. These are automatic, programmed responses, we rarely, if ever, acknowledge and respond with the emotions and feelings we are really experiencing. Many of us don’t even know what we are feeling or what emotions we are experiencing. So how do we learn to tap into it?... We need to become consciously aware of our emotions, recognise and label them. This allows us to deal with the feeling, rather than reacting in an explosion of emotion. For example, you may have an increased load at work and label your feeling as ok, busy when really it could be labelled as a feeling of being overwhelmed. Knowing that you feel overwhelmed, which is an underlying feeling of fear, you are better able to come up with an action plan of how to decrease that feeling. This will help reduce the negative feelings that come with staying in the unpleasant emotion of feeling ok, busy. How are you feeling right now? How many emotions can you label? I know I do a great job of feeling into my comfortable emotions like joy and happiness and avoiding the uncomfortable ones like sadness and anger. What I am learning now is the only way to get emotionally intimate with yourself and others is to face what is uncomfortable. The following steps, will help you get in touch with your emotions allowing you to have connecting and fulfilling relationships with yourself and others.... 1. Emotional literacy. Being able to label your emotions. 2. Owning your emotions. 3. When the emotions arise feeling into them fully until completion. 4. Being kind, loving and compassionate towards your emotions. When was the last time you felt sad and what did you do about it? Can you sit with the emotion of sadness or do you push it away or avoid it? Be kind and compassionate towards yourself if you are pushing away emotions. It is okay to feel your emotions fully. 13.01.2022 Over the weekend I attended Life Coach Gabby Bernsteins workshop in Sydney. Her New York best selling book The universe has your back was the start to my Life Coaching career which began in 2017. I read the book, then read it again straight away. I was so intrigued and drawn by the energy and message in the book that I immediately started to work through the practices that Gabby preaches. I healed my past trauma of separation and divorce, forgiving and releasing any accomp...anying emotions that I had held onto. I started goal setting for my personal training and life coaching career. I started to trust that the greater power of the universe was guiding me on my life journey and that all I had experienced was for a reason... for me to find my authentic self. Over the last two years I have been guiding others to find their true authentic selves and ultimately their life purpose, transforming lives and adding to the ripple effect of joy, happiness and love in the world. Gabby was incredible, her wisdom and presence was felt by all. I walked away yesterday feeling inspired and grateful for being able to live my purpose and help others find joy, happiness, love and inner peace. See more

12.01.2022 Are you struggling to label your emotions? The emotions wheel is a great tool to help you label what you are feeling. Bringing awareness to your emotions allows you to identify and learn to manage and self-regulate them and understand why you are feeling the way you are. Learn to enhance your emotional literacy through the wheel of emotions. Here you can see 6 core emotions of fear, anger, disgust, sadness, surprise and happiness. There are many secondary emotions underlying... our core emotions which, by understanding, can help you navigate what you may actually be experiencing. For example, feeling fear and understanding that it stems from feeling rejected may help you work through the emotion and reasons for it. When you feel an emotion coming on have a look at the wheel to see what resonates with you and what core emotion it is attached to. The emotions wheel is created by Robert Plutchik.
