17.01.2022 Strong economy + Healthy environment As part of the COVID recovery for businesses, it would be great to see local government support local businesses in solar energy solutions. In turn this could support lower electricity bills and reduce carbon emissions! It's just one of the many possibilities for supporting local businesses and the environment. Businesses run largely during the day. So rooftop solar can supply energy at the same time it's being used, with batteries added f...or after-dark as a bonus. It's the small changes we make that can have big impacts for all!!

03.01.2022 It was great to be out enjoying the local playgrounds this weekend in Nillumbik, while talking to locals. I received some great feedback as to what people would like to see from Council moving forward. Keep sending your feedback through.
01.01.2022 This year has certainly challenged many of us traders, parents, students, the elderly and the vulnerable. Working with many businesses I have witnessed firsthand the devastation it has caused. However, the positive that has come out of this pandemic is that when the going gets tough communities’ band together. ... What we have seen is that people are committed to supporting local, caring more than ever for each other and stopping to ask ‘How are you doing’? What we need from council is local solutions to; - Help local businesses adapt to a COVID normal - Affordable and public childcare, reduced fees, and a council that backs local artists and creatives - Provide more safe and friendly parks and open spaces for our kids and families to enjoy closer to home. Nillumbik needs a council that focuses on real issues affecting real people. If we are going to get through this pandemic - we have to do it together, as a community. I've put my hand up to run for council because I care about where I live. Stay together and stay strong!
