23.01.2022 Its hard to believe that this time last year I was boarding an expedition vessel that was going to take me on an epic adventure through Antarctica. Where has the time gone? I still have so many photos to go through....so many photos, so little time! Walking away from this trip I learnt so much. I never knew much about birds, or had a huge amount of interest to be honest. But today, a year later, I have a love and a deep appreciation for them. I am constantly looking to the skies and the trees to see what birds are venturing into my yard or in the area that I am in. This beauty is the Black Browed Albatross....a bird with some wicked black eye liner

18.01.2022 Something a bit different for me. Looking for further inspiration to get the creative juices flowing I asked a fellow photographer friend a while back for some ideas. And he came back with just the theme of motion. Its taken me a while to pick the camera up and tackle it but I finally attempted it today. Heath, better late than never

10.01.2022 I had the opportunity to check out some parts of Argentina when I was over that way. One spot was this beautiful little spot called Laguna Esmeralda. A 10km return hike which gave me a small snippet and taste of the Patagonian region. Oh so pretty!

02.01.2022 Have been feeling so unmotivated of late particularly with the photography. And the cold weather has definitely been contributing to that. I made it a point to pick up the camera today. Didnt get very far but sometimes you find the quirkiest little things in your own backyard :-)

02.01.2022 Snowy Sheathbill - it is the only land bird native to the Antarctic. This bird is a scavenger and will just about eat anything including penguin poo
