18.01.2022 I have taken new pictures of my socially distant series, so uploading again. If you slide you can see how different artworks look in different lights and some details. I needed a song for this quick doodle self-portrait so... with the help of FOX musics darling Tom Ohh on the bass, we did a home job version. 14.01.2022 Progress Video of 'Sisters'. I painted this in my dark bedroom to then photographing it in the light was a surprise... saw lots of mistakes, new marks and colours. Often I see things in my paper, just as I do in the world, so I paint them and then they disappear as they do in reality, like the rainbows and giant flowers. It was a privilege to paint these wonders. I would love to paint them again on a larger scale... I think I will be. Wonderful music by local musician Happy Axe 'There It's Night'. 13.01.2022 CHEAP AS CHIPS. I have these A4 artworks, that were illustrations for my 'twenty-six' book. These are the last of the bunch and I'm doing a sale to get them gone. The artworks are $45. They are framed, as seen in the end picture - not the nicest frames but you can easily change them. I also have a stack of books left - $10 each. Feel a bit lost with my painting atm tbh... but feel this could be closer to something that fills my belly? 02.01.2022 This is the 3rd artwork in my new series, titled 'Fed up'. This series is exploring connection and isolation through art, whilst trying to work with the tension of letting go - by doing quick studies with wet on wet oil paint. As you can see there was a battle of feeling tense with this one, scrubbing areas out and starting again. There are gaps in the this video but hopefully you get a glimmer of the process. Half way through I recon I could have stopped instead of going forward and back but more or less its all the same? Shout out to the best band to come out of Dford - Scuvylicious for the backing music 'More or less'.
