If you don’t have time to make salads or find it hard to get inspired and it means the difference between eating a healthy meal and not....buy one. This salad is from @edwards_providore . 19.01.2022 I’m off to the 2019 Nutrition Summit in Brisbane (I know, poor me) which means prepping and cooking meals for the rest of the family as they race over the weekend. I know it is so easy to just drop into the old habits of grabbing anything in a packet or just eat take away but that’s not what we are about. It needs to be preservative and additive free, and actually have some goodness and nutrition about it. We need food for fuelling both body and brain, not food that indu...ces brain fog and tiredness. So on the menu so far is chicken soup currently simmering on the stove, a bacon (nitrite free) zucchini, and other veg slice in the oven, Bircher muesli for a super quick and super nutritious breaki in the fridge, and tomorrow (because I’ve run out of time today some protein balls for a quick snack between races, bananas, oranges and some sneaky cupcakes with all sorts of hidden treasures for the end of the day. 16.01.2022 SOUP WEATHER. I love the sun, and being outdoors it’s amazing, great hits of bit D without even trying brilliant salads, swimming, the list goes on. Though I really love after all that heat the weather change!! Snuggling up by the fire, rugging up, warm clothes, the briskness of the air and all that goes with it, which of course includes slow cooking, soups, and amazing winter food. I really crave it after months of salads. So today back into the swing of it. Lentil soup on the menu for lunch and quite possibly a few dinners. Filling, warming and just a little big ‘hugging’...just totally made up that word. My fave way to cook throw it all in a pot and your done..... #anourishedspoon #realfood #soup #soulfood #keepitsimple
