19.01.2022 Anyone who has had contact with Wowolla, Wongutha female elder Aunty Josie Boyle, and been inspired by her creativity, values and attitude is welcome to attend ...this event (subject to ticket availability). In typical fashion Aunty Josie is releasing a joyous Christmas CD "Josie, A Golden Christmas to You" included in the ticket price. For those who do not know, Aunty Josie is in hospital and most likely will not be able to attend in person altho will be there virtually via streaming. She will also be watching this 'tribute' event from her hospital bed. If you cannot come CDs will be available through the ANTaR WA FB page

19.01.2022 ANTaR is a partner in the push for treaty. This video gies a Black Fella legal perspective. Well worth watching, and listening. https://youtu.be/BQYc6G8ZOEA

14.01.2022 Aunty Josie's funeral is in Kalgoorlie, 10 am Monday 21st of Dec. People have asked for a memorial event in Perth at same time. I am suggesting at my place in ...the garden (she often used to come here for BBQs and sing alongs). Address is 188 Canning Highway in South Perth (near corner of Hensman Street) and there are 910 bus stops at front gate coming from Freo and Canning Bridge, or Perth CBD and Vic Park Bus station near the causeway. Bring light food and non-alcoholic drink to share if you can, and musical instruments. This memorial celebration will include a Black Lives Matter event - being on the highway we will stand at the front of the property with a banner for 5 or ten minutes - social distancing will apply. All welcome. Please share with your networks. Marissa Verma

06.01.2022 Many Nyoongars are in disagreement with the settlement. It has been recently insufficient to protect a special place at the Perth Airport. However it is also ...the best deal Nyoongars have been offered since Aboriginal people were entitled to a share of WA GDP - overturned by Premier John Forrest. The total amount of money and land is $1.3 Billion. There are West Australian individuals worth more than that. It is also less than the value of Perth CBD. So is it fair? What do you think?

02.01.2022 An invitation from ANTaR Natuonal to our forum on First Nations' Cutural heritage If you are dismayed at the destruction at the Juukan Caves, you will love hearing Jamie Lowe speak. Let your friends know.... Dear friends, ANTaR National's Annual Forum is coming up on 27 November 2020. The First Nations Heritage Alliance has recently formed to advocate for the protection of First Nations Cultural Heritage, Jamie Lowe's keynote address at the ANTaR Forum is a great way to learn more. This year's National Forum will be delivered online via video conferencing platform zoom. In 2020 there have been a great many moments that have been challenging and confronting for our society. In June our eyes were on Rio Tinto who had just destroyed the Juukan Caves of the Puutu Kunti Kuurama and Pinikura peoples. ANTaR National has invited Jamie Lowe, Gunditjmara Djabwurrung man and Chief Executive Officer of the National Native Title Council to speak about the First Nations Heritage Alliance and how Australia can better understand and protect First Nations cultural heritage. All are welcome to join for free via zoom, but registration is essential. The program includes background from ANTaR President Dr Peter Lewis on ANTaR's campaigning and advocacy from throughout the year.
