17.01.2022 Don’t let ANYONE steal your sunshine. Your happiness is YOUR responsibility. And it is an inside job. Too many times in the past I have said yes because I was more worried about what others thought of me. Newsflash. what really matters is what I think of myself. It's taken me nearly half a century to learn this. ... I have learnt that pleasing others is not always possible. I have learnt that saying no thank you or not now becomes easier the more I practice MY truth. I have learnt that people will think of me, whatever they want and there’s not a damn thing I can do about it. I have learnt that the answer is not at the bottom of the cookie jar (sadly ) I have learnt that I can’t buy stuff to make myself feel better. In fact, I have learnt that stuff is just that. I have learnt that the MOST IMPORTANT relationship in my life is the one I have with MYSELF. And the most important opinion is MY OWN. And the bravest (and sometimes most difficult) thing to do, is speak MY TRUTH without judgement of others. I am an imperfect, perfect work in progress. And the best thing I can do is be kind to myself whilst pursuing excellence in every area of my life. In 2021 I am going to saying no more often, say yes more often and take the time to check in with myself. I am going to take risks. I am going to take responsibility for my own happiness and not let anyone or anything steal my sunshine. How about you?

04.01.2022 I needed to tell myself this today. So I figured there may be some other people who needed to hear this too I find it far too easy to self-criticise myself . So I'm going to commit from here on to be gentler with myself. I'm going to ensure that I do spend time every day looking at what I have done, rather than what's still on the list. I'm going to commit to telling myself that I'm awesome every day - even when I don't feel like it. The last 12 months have really broug...ht home to me how important it is to be gentle with ourselves. With so much going on that is outside of our control, the going has been tough. But what is in our control, is how we look after ourselves mentally, physically, emotionally and spiritually. In 2020 I got challenged. A LOT. And those challenges I can now say were a gift. At the time they were painful. I'm sure many of you can relate. I've learnt a lot about myself this year - some of which was hard to admit. Some of it was really painful. BUT the journey has given me new insights, new learnings and a deeper connection to myself. So the challenging year, has definately had some benefits. I engaged numerous experts and coaches to help me navigate the journey of loving me more. And I'm so grateful that I was in a position to do that. They have all been invaluable. So in case you needed to hear it today... be as gentle and kind to yourself as you are to everyone else. Despite what your monkey mind may tell you - you ARE doing a GREAT job.
