25.01.2022 Antip Marine Surveying Pre purchase boat inspections Insurance risk evaluations http://www.antipeng.com.au/Marine-Surveying.php

25.01.2022 A new project across the desk thanks to Erling at EDB Designs. Quite a large restaurant coming up in Morley

25.01.2022 We have just spent the weekend in Geraldton a town 4 hours north of Perth which is a hub of activity for farming, commercial fishing and of course mining where there is a shipping port exporting minerals from the Pilbara. We have a development of 12 houses that we were visiting for final talks before they are launched into the market. Right next door is the Geraldton Medical Center of which we were the consultants for the mechanical services which consisted of 2 Daikin VRV systems and plenty of Fantech ventilation throughout. Another successful project complete.

23.01.2022 With some clients there is some push back on the contract administration side of projects. They don't want to spend the extra money on having a project inspected throughout the build process. Well I thought we should share some photos of a project we are involved in doing a refit for. The previous fitout obviously didn't even bother getting a consultant to do a design in the first place so this is what you get........cable tied / duct tape exhaust fans to the underside of the soffit! Does this installation meet the NCC and Australian standards.....not even close!

23.01.2022 HVAC Contractors out there - Check this out!

22.01.2022 Well done to the team at Mikasa Designs. We were happy to be a part of the design process and that you achieved a great result.

22.01.2022 We have just attended the final hand over for the Busselton Railway house. Designed by Bob Bruce Designs and constructed by Big Ben Builders. Overall the quality of the installation by Brian at Ice Refrigeration was great given the complexity of a refurbishment build of this nature. We used Daikin VRV and single split systems with Air-stream Izone controls in the offices. The central Diakin controller is interfaced with the exhaust and fresh air fans to ensure a well balanced system throughout. The final finishes and design details of the building are excellent. Well done Bob Bruce and the team at Big Ben Builders.

22.01.2022 We just recently completed the final inspections and hand overs for the Motus project on Douro Road South Fremantle. We and every one that we have spoken with about this project is seriously impressed with the finishes and detail design in this building. The style of the building reflects and blends in perfectly to the South Fremantle vista. Check out the exposed recycled brick and copper fittings in the common areas of the phots attached.......awesome! Congratulations to the team at Motus Architects

22.01.2022 We have been asked recently to mark up architectural plans of small projects that don't have the budget for a full scale mechanical set of plans. However these projects still need to comply to the NCC and Australian standards in order to get a building license and meet the health and safety act. We have come up with a very cost effective fee that covers those bases and provides the client with a document that they can go to a contractor with to get quotes. Please contact us if you have a project like this and we will be happy to provide an effective solution. There is a sample picture of a resturant / bar project we have just done thanks to Drew at OX Studio.

21.01.2022 Another nice project that came across our desk before xmas was this one in Hillary's thanks to Aztec architects. It is a mixed use development with commercial spaces and residential. The building has really nice communal spaces for entertaining and spacial apartments with plenty of volume. Given the location in Hillary's and the style of building it will be another excellent project by Aztec.

21.01.2022 We had a really interesting project come across our desk recently. A cryolab that our clients use was having a build up of anesthetic gasses building up within the facility causing the technicians light headiness. We analysed the ventilation system and found there was no relief air and hence no fresh air was able to enter causing the gas concentrations to slowly increase. This particular client is very particular about energy consumption so we redesigned the facility to prov...ide the correct fresh / relief air requirements to satisfy AS1668 coupled with a Mitsubishi heat recovery ventilator to pre cool the fresh air with the exiting relief air. This will reduce the heat load of the fresh air on the system by up to 80%. We also replaced the existing fancoil unit with a low volume but high capacity unit from Mitsubishi which is much more comfortable for the occupants. The client has indicated that the issues have been resolved. See more

18.01.2022 Must have document that could save your reputation and save you thousands in rework! To all the air conditioning HVAC contractors out there. We have put together a simple easy to follow 3 page design sheet that will help you sort out some simple onsite or new system design. It is in pdf format so you can keep it on your phone and computer for easy reference. The topics covered are as follows- 1. Calculate and size a basic reverse cycle air conditioning plant 2. Know the cod...es that you need to design and install to as a contractor 3. Size duct work to minimise friction loss and reduce noise. 4. What you need to get your sheet metal / flexible duct supplier to provide. 5. Size grilles to minimise friction loss, reduce noise and deliver performance. 6. Provide services like plumbing and electrical for your system. We have done this sheet for 2 reasons. Firstly to help those apprentices, technicians, installers and refrigeration mechanics get a basic understanding of what is required to design an effective system and secondly to raise money to help those effected by domestic violence. $5 of every document sold will go to the "Women's Council" who help those are victims of domestic violence. The document is $15.50 and can be found on our website under the products page. Or press the shop now button on this page. www.antipeng.com.au/Products.php Thank you for helping us support those who need it the most.

17.01.2022 Over the past few years we at Antip Engineering have been working hard to discover a cause that we feel strongly about. Another entity that the directors of Antip once owned was "The Pizza Lounge" Once a week we would deliver pizzas to the women's refuge in Fremantle which brought smiles to those who really needed it. Previously Antip had a project in the south west which was the refurbishment of a women's refuge. So now we have decided to pledge 2% of the invoiced revenue of Antip Engineering to the "Women's Council" who help protect families effected by domestic violence. We hope to make a difference and help those women, children and even the men effected by domestic violence. Please help us support those who need it. www.womenscouncil.com.au

17.01.2022 Happy new year all! We had a very busy end to 2016 which was a great way to end the year.It started with this extension to a Good Start child care center in Perth thanks to the team at Motus architects

15.01.2022 A new service arm to the business. We now offer recreational boat surveys for pre purchase and insurance risk evaluations. Marine Surveying http://www.antipeng.com.au/Marine-Surveying.php

15.01.2022 We just spent a couple of days on Mitsubishi Electric in Sydney learning about their new heat recovery system technology. Very impressive and very thorough training session with an awesome technical showroom.

12.01.2022 As if we wern't busy enough before xmas we decided to make the jump into using Autocad REVIT. So from now on all our projects unless asked otherwise will be in REVIT. This program really does make coordination of building services that much easier and doesn't really take much longer to produce the documents. It seems the architects and designers have really taken to the program because the parametric function of this program automatically generates elevations and sections and updates everything in every view as changes are made. This mitigates the chance of conflicting information between views. A very powerful and worthwhile program to have. Check it out! http://www.autodesk.com.au/products/revit-family/overview

11.01.2022 Antip Engineering has been awarded an interesting job of designing the HVAC system for a Hindu temple in Perth. The challenge with auditorium type buildings is providing enough fresh air to maintain comfort levels within the space and at the same time not producing an energy hungry system that creates huge power costs. There is also may uses within the facility that lend itself to a good chance to use a heat recovery system. So we have decided to use a non direct evaporative ...unit call a "climate wizard" that works perfectly in conjunction with reverse cycle air conditioning. The non direct unit does not saturate the incoming air like a conventional unit but cools the air without increasing the moisture content. This dramatically removes the latent load (the energy required to change water from gas to liquid) that traditional evap unit place on reverse cycle units. See more

09.01.2022 We just spent some time with the guys at AIr Stream yesterday going over their new innovations. Their new and improved control systems are very impressive which include : Full Air conditioning VAV (Variable air volume) control which allows individual temperature control in each room of your house or office. The izone controller is also able to control the unit itself and shut it down when the last zone reaches set point. Very efficient! Can also be controlled via an app on yo...u phone remotely. Outside air or economy cycle. This will bring in outside air for cooling or heating when the sensor identifies the correct temperature difference to achieve the desired function within the air conditioned space. This is excellent for those who dont like sleeping with the air conditioning on. Lastly they have developed a automated led lighting system which can be almost any colour, brightness, mood you want this is also can be controlled via the app. These guys are really providing excellent quality air conditioning components and systems, we highly recommend them and will continue to specify Air Stream components in future projects. Keep up the good work! www.izone.com.au See more

08.01.2022 This should be a fun project! The Moora Mens Shed thanks to Shelly at Front Door Designs. These community men sheds seem to be popping up every where. This is the official website. http://mensshed.org/what-is-amsa/ It is essentially to do with the health of men both physically and mentally in communities. The theory is that men talk shoulder to shoulder not face to face so it provides a place to blokes to go and work on a project alongside other men which reduces the isolation felt by many in today's society. Back in the day community projects we built by men in the community and supported by women so its a great way to bring back that comradery.

08.01.2022 Thanks to the guys at Air Stream we had the izone and ilight controls set up in our home so we could control each rooms individual temperature and also control the ducted unit and lights inside the house remotely. Some might ask when are you ever going to use those features? First of all when we left to travel down south we turned on the Holiday mode of the LED ilights so that they turn on automatically to give the impression we are home at night. Secondly in Perth and pretty much the whole west coast we have had some extremely unpleasant weather. As we approached Perth we went to our smart phone and turned on the unit and changed the zones so that when we arrived home the living areas were nice and warm.....pretty sweet! Thanks Air Stream works a treat!

07.01.2022 Another project thanks to Aztec Architects. A Multi residential development right on the water in Mindarie. Again doing it with our associates at Big Sky Electrical consultants.

07.01.2022 Just catching up on some completed projects. This one down in Bunbury is the Multiple Sclerosis Societies new facility. The lead architects were Parry and Whyte and as always the electrical consultant was our friends at Big Sky Electrical. We fitted this facility out with a split Daikin 2 pipe VRV system complete with a central controller which monitors and controls the Fantech fresh/exhaust air fans and cassette units throughout the facility. West Australian Mechanical Services were the mech contractor on site with Farnell Constructions the builder. We are please to say after the final inspections that the systems are all installed and operating as they should and the facility has an excellent finish overall.

02.01.2022 Architects and building designers "MUST have" document to save time and money! Have you gone through your initial schematic design and received design approval only to realise you haven't allowed for the most space hungry service in the building? The Mechanical services within a building consisting of air-conditioning and ventilation equipment require many levels of special consideration to meet the NCC (National Construction Code) and Australian standards as well as consider...ation of how the equipment can fit within a building. There are also many different types of ways to ventilate and condition a space all of which have their own requirements. Antip Engineering Solutions have put together a document that outlines the considerations in the schematic stages and best of all has a check list at the end that you can run through and add to your quality assurance documents. We are hoping to raise money to help those effected by domestic violence. So $5 of every document sold will go to the "Women's Council" who help those who are victims of domestic violence. The document is $15.90 and can be downloaded from the link below. Thank you for your support! www.antipeng.com.au/Building-Design.php See more

02.01.2022 A new project has just come across our table in the beautiful town of Margret River. A 32 room hotel designed by Clancy and his team at "Whitehaus" The brief is simple- energy efficient, cost effective and reliable.
