18.01.2022 Who’s journaling through these mad times? I had to be reminded by the wonderful Ami at @craftcoachinganddevelopment last week to keep a record of all I’m experiences. But of course, journaling is not just a record, it’s a bloody survival strategy. Untangling the mud of thoughts and feelings has always been crucial to me. Even more crucial right now. Who else needs written words to make sense of the outside and inside world?... Beyond stream of consciousness journaling, my @dailygreatness diary has been an inseparable companion. I tried living without it for one year and there was a big hole in my existence, morning and evenings, when I’d normally pull the diary out to think through my days and regroup, appreciate, recognise. It didn’t always have a random pen circle on it. My toddler has made a contribution to its cover a few weeks ago, and I was really mad. I like things to look pretty and unblemished. But I’ve learned to love it anyway. And it makes me smile at her cheek every time I look at it. Do you journal? Why does it do for you? #melbournecopywriter #copywriterlife #businesscopywriting #copywritingbusiness #journaling #writingforwellbeing

13.01.2022 Times are like these make us reflect. On lots of things. One of the first things that ignited panic (and reflection) for me were queues. They took me to a different time, one I wrote about for @SBSVoices Queues seem to have toned down now, but I don’t think we’ll forget the panic they started any time soon.... There are lots of other things I’m reflecting on in the current situation. Good and bad. But mostly...good actually. What are yours? #melbournecopywriter #melbournecopywriting #copymatters #conversioncopywriting #covidcopy #pandemicreflections

09.01.2022 Just how prettily is the sun showing up today, right? I know we have a lot to be worried, sad, fearful of. So much so that we may forget there is still plenty to be grateful, hopeful, even excited about. For one, I’m determined to try and find at least one thing I’m appreciative of every day. Who knows, maybe I will train my brain to be on alert for things to appreciate. Seeing them at every corner, like when you're thinking about buying a red car and suddenly they're everyw...here. What’s making you appreciative today folks? I reckon we could all do with some reminder. #copywriting #creativecopywriting #mindset #melbournecopywriter #australiancopywriter #businesschicks #ladystartup #focus #gratitude #launchcopy

05.01.2022 Flattening the curve has made a dream of mine possible. D and I read books side by side. Different books. First time. Lasted 10 minutes of bliss. #flattenthecurve #workingfromhome #melbournecopywriter #conversioncopywriting #persuasivewriting

01.01.2022 Exploring my curiosities is one of the main reasons I’ve always wanted to write. The pandemic certainly gave me lots of curiosities to explore. About human nature, about culture, about perspectives. And of course, about my own history ;) This is a piece I wrote for SBS Voices, who has become a bit of an exploration welcoming home for me. Copy uses the same curiosity muscle. Sometimes I get distracted by formulas, by techniques, by templates even. As soon as I return to curios...ity, it all gets easier and truer. So, note to self: when things get muddy and prescriptive, get curious. Pssst. I popped a link to the article on my website, if you’d like to have a read ;) #goodcopy #goodcopywriting #writingbusiness #smallbusinesslove
