21.01.2022 Feeding time. Interestingly they have laid out their bodies next to the nest entrance rather than take them straight down. Loving their maple syrup on the rock. Going to have to be brave again soon and grab the empty water test tubes .
20.01.2022 About 4 months ago we moved house and wow what a job to move this tank. 12mm glass and 4ft x 2ft x 2ft. Unfortunately the lid I made for it was 3mm glass and was broken on transit. I cleaned all the glass out and made a new lid. Somehow they have found some treasure. It was taken up to their food rock and then were taking it around and playing with it. The personality of these creatures can be fun to watch. A few videos in the comments
16.01.2022 Every few weeks I have to replace the drinking water test tubes. They refuse to let go of the old ones and have such a big problem with any new ones being put in. For the next week they will now attack the glass of the new test tubes as if they are an intruder. Once water is gone from the old ones they will inhabit them until I have to forcefully remove them. And then the cycle begins again
16.01.2022 I don’t know why but they always seem to just hang out on this black part of the log. Maybe camouflage Just below is where The workers roll the larvae into pupae. Maybe on guard for the process?

04.01.2022 Freezing cold day here in Adelaide so I have the heater cranking ready to watch the footy. Seems the alates in the tank have decided it’s a good time to fly with the warm conditions. Sorry for the video quality, was very difficult to get all in the shot with lighting and reflections. #gobombers
