22.01.2022 Out of the fire comes hope. Tuckwell Scholar Chloe Harpley and a team of volunteers have created the Books for the Bush: School Crisis Appeal to help bushfire-affected schools and families to get back into the rhythm of learning. 21.01.2022 The Tuckwell community gathered recently to celebrate Commencement Weekend where our full cohort of 123 Scholars welcomed 25 new members and congratulated 15 graduating Scholars. Commencement is our biggest and most important event with attendees travelling from across Australia to take part. It is our opportunity to celebrate, reflect, connect and give thanks to those who make Tuckwell experience possible. Commencement Breakfast attended by 25 new Scholars and recent alum...ni Commencement Lunch attended by 25 new Scholars and their parents Commencement Dinner- attended by our full cohort of 123 Scholars, 19 alumni and other members of our community Founders Drs Graham & Louise Tuckwell were joined by Professor Brian Schmidt, Vice-Chancellor, The Hon Julie Bishop, Chancellor and Associate Professor Ryan Goss, Head of Scholars House in welcoming all guests to ANU. Ms Eleanor George (2019 Bell Ringer) and Mr Ryan Mannes (2018 Bell Ringer) represented the Scholar community magnificently as event MCs. #ouranu #tuckwellscholarship

11.01.2022 Feel good news coming your way! During their mid-semester break, a team of Scholars led by Jasmine Pearson (2020) measured, cut and made 70 face masks to be sent to bushfire affected communities. We asked them to make us some masks...they turned out sew sew.

As part of the broader ANU response, we are closely monitoring the Coronavirus (COVID-19) situation and may introduce changes to this year's Tuckwell Scholarship application process in response to directives from the relevant authorities. These changes may include online video-interviews and revised due dates. At this stage, the deadline for Stage 1 candidate applications remains as advertised ...(3PM AEDT Wednesday 25 March 2020). 02.01.2022 Scholars Lachie and Jye shared their Tuckwell experiences today with 55 Year 11 students from regional NSW as part of the ANU Regional Summer School. We hope to see many of them apply to join the Tuckwell community next year :-)
