23.01.2022 A quick run down on Anytime Fitness Baulkham Hills Member Brooklyn He has been training since he was in high school! Super active with gym, footy & boxing...until a backflip turned his world upside down, breaking his leg & forcing him into a sedentary existence. Brooklyn struggled with weight gain during this period and consequentially his mental well-being began to suffer That was a year ago! Today, after climbing back up & putting in the hard yards training like a B...OSS, he has never looked/felt fitter mentally and physically. We are super proud of him and just want to say well done legend, life loves to throw curve balls but it’s how you respond that defines you & builds character!

14.01.2022 MENTAL HEALTH MATTERS We sat down with our members Alex and Luke and asked them a few questions about how training has improved both their physical and mental health. Here’s what the boys had to say: ... What do you love about training with Rose? Alex: Rose has taught me the importance of form when exercising. I always thought I was big and strong until I met her and realised the importance of lowering the weights and focusing on time under tension. Luke: I honestly suggest Rose to anyone and everyone, she is such an inviting character and what she does for the gym and members is phenomenal. You wont meet anyone else who puts in 100% of her effort into your goals like she does. Rose has taught both of us the importance of focusing on time under tension. With her we have both dropped our weights and worked on slowing down our reps and both have seen insane results in our strength. DM @rose_team_allstars to start seeing results What advice would you give your younger self or another individual struggling with their mental health? Alex: Don’t be a hero. If you’re feeling down it’s always good to talk to someone. It’s not weak to seek help if you’re struggling. Luke: There’s always light at the end of the tunnel, no matter how much you’re struggling it will always get better.

11.01.2022 INGREDIENTS Large Sweet Potato (or 2 small)- 300g Black Beans, drained and rinsed- 100g Chicken breast, sliced- 150g Red onion, sliced thin- 100g... Garlic clove, crushed- 1 Paprika- 1/2 tsp Cumin- 1/2 tsp Jalapeno, sliced- 20g Cheese, grated- 20g Coriander leaves- 10g Olive oil spray- Salad- 100g METHOD 1. Preheat the oven to 200 degrees celsius. 2. Place the potatoes on a baking tray, spray with oil, sprinkle with a little salt and bake for 50 minutes or until the skin is crisp and the inside soft. Remove from the oven and set aside to cool slightly. 3. Meanwhile, take a large frying pan and spray with oil, sauté half of the onion for 2 minutes, add the chicken and garlic along with the spices. When the chicken is cooked through toss through the black beans. 4. Slice the sweet potatoes in half, scoop out some of the soft mash and mix with the cooked onion, chicken and bean mix. Place back into the potato skins. 5. Sprinkle with the remaining onion, jalapeno and cheese and place back into the oven until the cheese melts. 6. Serve sprinkled with fresh coriander and a light green salad if desired. See more
