21.01.2022 The time has come again, with Autumn season here and daylight savings coming to an end soon, the cold weather blues is on a whole other level. So what are the ways we can stay active when all we really want to do is tuck ourselves in a cozy warm blanket? Here are 7 ways to keep motivation during the cold months: 1) Keep your phone far away from the bed. This stops you from looking at your phone before going to bed and also gets you up moving to turn off the alarm. 2) A w...ell rested night is a well active day, so avoid using your phone 1 hour before bed time, to slowly relax and not overstimulate your mind. 3) Best preparation for tomorrow is doing it today. Have your bags, workout gear, and keys ready to go so that you have everything ready to go, also psyching your mind that you’re committed! 4) Picture you day tomorrow before going to bed to set your priorities for tomorrow. 5) Have an exercise buddy with a routine exercise time. 6) Focus on the why, instead of focusing on how much you don’t feel like working out, focus on getting those amazing endorphins and feeling amazing! 7) WARM up! Get that heart rate up and you will keep moving. Try some morning yoga, light cardio to start, as soon as you know it, those 5 minutes will turn into an hour. #anytimefitness #anytimefitnessaustralia #motivation #workoutmotivation #letsmakehealthyhappen

08.01.2022 Hey AF fam! It’s training tip Tuesday, so it’s time to talk about the importance of warming up and cooling down before and after training! Warming up beforehand will improve your blood flow, and your blood carries the oxygen needed for your muscles to function. It will also raise your body temperature, which subsequently results in your muscles performing faster and more efficiently! As mentioned above, it also makes your muscles MUCH less likely to tear or rip, and lo...osens your joints. Cooling down is equally as important for recovery because after exercise, lactic acid can build up within your system! Stretching afterwards can help this process of releasing lactic acid. Cooling down can help to alleviate excessive muscle soreness as well It may be time consuming, at times it CAN be annoying, but always remember to warm up and cool down, AF fam! #anytimefitness #anytimefitnessaustralia #Tuesday #trainingtiptuesday #training #af #fitnesstips

02.01.2022 Happy Wednesday Wellness day! Breathing tips and mindfulness while wearing a mask Have you noticed feeling more tired after wearing a mask? This happens because breathing through a mask is a workout. You are using your smallest of breathing muscles to do a really big job combined with mouth breathing, you are using a lot of energy to breathe.... When wearing a mask, most of us breathe with our upper chest muscles and with our mouth open. This is a very inefficient way of breathing that can also cause increased stress and anxiety. Feel how you breathe. While wearing a mask, take a moment to feel how you breathe. Ask yourself these questions: Does your belly move or does your upper chest move? Are you breathing with your nose or mouth? Place your hands on your stomach or lower rib cage, slowly take a breath through your nose and feel your belly and rib cage push outward and exhale though your mouth. Practice this throughout the day and with practice you may start to become a more efficient breather with a mask By keeping a mask on especially using an indoor gym facility and maintaining social distance helps to keep you and everyone safe. #anytimefitness #anytimefitnessaustralia #wellnesswednesday #staysafe #staystrong #fitfam
