20.01.2022 Do you have a spiritual practice? Hmmm, what is that she says? You know prayer, yoga, mediation, journaling, reflection, mindfulness, chanting, looking to the stars, universe or spirit guides and/or other means of connectivity to your inner self and a higher power...... This is a pic from apart of my little zen den - a small space in my bedroom with props and symbols to help me settle before I try to meditate. Might not always 'work', but its definitely my happy place and I've come along way since I first folded up a blanket and hid it with a candle behind my bedroom door so I didn't freak my family out with my new woo woo explorations hehe. This week I learnt about a pretty big change, that would historically have triggered the shite out of me, but thanks to some kind of spiritual practice over the last few years I've been able to stay objective and 'find love' in the situation pretty easily, so to not attach to much meaning to my initial reactions and the meaning my mind tries to put on things. Basically I've given myself space to process big news and then tried to curiously watch my thoughts and emotional reaction without analysing (to much) or getting stuck in their stories. 17.01.2022 When you need a little somethin' to get in the game I'll often turn to this potent bad boy when I need to focus. Maybe it was a rubbish sleep, maybe there's to much going on, maybe I had that extra glass in the end ... ... Today I just need to get focussed to stay ahead and get my work done when I plan to in a deliciously busy period of the year. There are really powerful extracts in this one: Amyris Bark, Patchouli Leaf, Frankincense Resin, Lime Peel, Ylang Ylang Flower, Hawaiian Sandalwood Wood, Roman Chamomile Flower essential oils. But while this clever blend comes in a roller bottle, it helps to remember it is not diluted. It really packs a punch on the aroma side, so I find it lasts a long time on my skin (or scarf - #still an OT) or the tips of my hair. And I can make the blend go quite a long way by just adding it to a carrier oil to spread across my chest, then back of the neck and temples etc. Have you tried it? Better for us and the environment and my favourite part- its really cost effective. Actually mine feels free because I redeem product points to purchase it. The Lavender peace I add to sheets or stinkier loads and the Purify I use if I have the best intentions for hanging out the washing before we scramble out the door to get to school on time and then arrive home to a damp load .
