07.01.2022 As adults, we are continually growing and evolving in this busy world. Many forget to "play" It slows down as we age, taking on responsibilities, families, work life balance etc etc.... As we age, the importance of play changes to what use to be with "truck and dolls", to "footy at the park or riding our bike up and down the street" to an alarming reduction in movement altogether. 01.01.2022 August is apon us, lets chip away this month with a decent Chipper workout. Personally attacking this one myself and some gym buddies @lissjade123 @miss_t8886 @rebeccawalkerrr_ ... pick a weight you can move for 10 reps. Break down the set of 50 into smaller sets. Work hard, and keep going resting only when you need. All movements can be scaled to suit your fitness levels so please ask the fitpro team for your individual tailored exercises. It was fun, sweaty, and definately one to raise the feel good vibrations after. Please tag us in your efforts! @anytimefitnessbundall ENJOY

01.01.2022 There are 2 types of Stretches that you should do when you train, and there is a specific time at which these should be done. The two im referring to are, "DYNAMIC" stretching, and '"STATIC" Stretching. Now lets think of your body like a piece of chewing gum. (a good analogy I use with clients)... Your a fresh piece, straight outta the packet, freshly unwrapped, your kind of tough, hard, and not really Pliable. This is your body, when you first come into the gym. Now after you chew that piece a little it becomes like a soft stringy elastic matter. This is you too, after using a correct warm up. Dynamic stretching - is the movements that ease you into the movements and exercises that your about to perform. Its the banded glute bridge lateral steps, or the body weighted squats. Its the light loads that lead up to your heavy working sets. Its light gradual movement - as we continually check in with the body. Now static stretching it the opposite. Its the holds. But we should avoid this type of stretching when we are not correctly warmed up. Or like that piece of chewy, it will likely snap. Static stretching allows the body to open up, and when we are warm, stretchy and pliable, we can ask the body to move into, and hold particular stretches that will allow fresh blood to flood the muscle that has been under resistance. It promotes new flexibility, recovery and can reduce the delayed onset muscle soreness we sometimes feel after a tough session. Both types of stretching can be easily included in your training without having to spend massive time. Dynamic stretching can be applied at the beginning of your sessions and static stretching can be done throughout in rest periods, with the attention on any major muscles for a little longer, post workout. I hope this helps you to stay mindful to giving your body some extra attention and care. I'm always in the club, full of energy, and happy to help YOU. Lindsay xox
