19.01.2022 Let’s teach the children right so it will not be necessary to educate the adults Setting Boundaries, Giving Respect , having Good manners & choosing to be kind, is where it will all start. Be it in the Classroom, in the actual home or out there, in the real world. Teaching children these Life skills earlier on in their early years, sets the tone for the rest of their lives. Teaching them the importance of saying Thank you when someone does something for them, and even mor...e important, is to say I’m sorry when they make mistakes, or hurt another. Children that don’t learn when to Thank or what to thank for, will not automatically grow up to be thankful adults. Even more importantly, children that are not taught to apologise for their wrong doing, will more likely grow up to be adults that hold no sense of accountability for their actions. We reap, what we sow. The world we live in is not going to change by itself, our society will not change if we as experienced adults do not contribute in investing on teaching children what’s right and what’s wrong and by setting their moral compass early! Very early.. while they are still kids. Your contribution to this nation and this society is going to be that little person that you will raise. Never forget this fact. That child will grow to be an adult one day so yes, let the kids be kids, but let’s also treat them as the little people that they are also capable of becoming! Your child is YOUR legacy that you will leave behind

Everyone needs a Hero Being a parent is far from easy, and more so, being the person you needed when you were growing up, as well as trying to be more for others than you may have had yourself, could deem to be a much tougher excercise to carry out. So allow me this opportunity to remind YOU who is reading this right now.. yes, YOU! ... That you are doing a great job! You are your own hero and the love you are radiating to your children will radiate back to you! Whilst the pressure is on with our little ones watching our every move and every decision we make, it can in a way be a source of great strength for us to keep on going, to keep on building and to keep on achieving bigger and better things if we let it. 08.01.2022 Teaching children Practical Life Skills at Home Can be fun! Did you know that peeling potatoes requires lots of concentration, perseverance and builds fine motor skills. Fine motor skills require the use of the small muscles in your child’s hands and arms to do everyday tasks, such as dressing, playing, eating, various self help skills such as toileting , as well as tasks such as writing, and cutting with scissors. Through using potato peelers, children are required to use bo...th of their hands, and each of their fingers differently to hold the potato, the peeler and co-ordinate that with the pressure needed to use a peeling motion. We would like to challenge you to try this at home with your little ones!
