15.01.2022 As an essential service, most of our patrolled locations and roving jet ski services are up and running this weekend to support local swimmers between the flags.... Over the next five days, you can visit beaches and waterways for exercise if it is within 5kms of your home and if you return home within two hours. Just like our patrol teams, you must wear a mask at all times, except when in the water. Public pools are currently closed. Stay safe everyone, we’ll get through this together, just as we have done before. For the latest advice, visit https://www.coronavirus.vic.gov.au/

04.01.2022 A large swell of between 1.5 2.5m is forecast from Cape Otway to the South Australian border over the coming days. This can result in larger/more powerful wav...es or sets that could come as a surprise to fishers, boaters or beachgoers. If you’re planning on heading to the coast, make safety your priority and plan before you go. You may need to modify your trip. Always swim between the red and yellow flags at patrolled locations, wear a lifejacket while fishing or boating and carry appropriate safety equipment such as a mobile phone and/or EPIRB. Even if you don’t intend on entering the sea, you should never take your eyes off the surf. 02.01.2022 New Club Constitution We are updating our Constitution to bring it in line with the Associations Incorporation Reform Act 2012 (Vic) and the new Constitution template provided by LSV. The relevant documents are available at: https://www.apollobayslsc.com.au/new-club-constitution/ Note that a number of By-Laws are being developed (rather than putting this information into the Constitution). This will allow the Constitution to have longevity and to ensure that the Committee can concentrate on the projects and activities that are important to effective club management. Thank-you to everyone that provided feedback. The Constitution will be an Agenda item at the AGM on 5 July.
