10.01.2022 Lots of people have reached out to us after the Cudlee Creek bushfire and offered to buy our wines. We are truly grateful, but we produce a very small volume of... wine and selling wine is not our bread and butter. Our main income is from selling wine grapes to the bigger wineries, through my partner Tim’s associated company, Bartsch Vignerons (owned by Tim and and his mum Christine). With 7 hectares of vines gone, the estimated financial loss is more than half a million dollars in lost production over the next few years. Not to mention the cost of replacing infrastructure such as posts and dripper lines and the time taken to do so. Many other Adelaide Hills grape producers are in the same boat. A great way to support grape producers financially is to donate to the SA Bushfire Appeal, from which donations will be channeled down to those in need.
