25.01.2022 The Electric Yellow African Cichlids have settled in nicely in Bethel Hostel's new 1000 litre aquarium. They will be joined tonight by 10 other fish from the Peacock and Hap groups of Lake Malawi Cichlids.

25.01.2022 The first group of Peacock and Hap African Cichlids has been introduced into the Bethel Harbour Room aquarium. The Electric Yellows were very curious! You can understand why getting juvenile fish is so important. Curiosity could turn into aggression amongst older critters!

25.01.2022 Bethel Aged Care Hostel are setting up a large aquarium in the Harbour Room in June. It will be an African Cichlid set up with mix of peaceful Haps, Peacocks and Mbunas - tricky I know but it will be worth it! The display tank is about 1,000 litres with a 300 litre sump. I'll keep you posted on how it all comes together.

15.01.2022 Big doings last week at Bethel Hostel's Harbour Room! On Monday the 1000 litre aquarium, custom made by Aquotix Aquariums was installed. On Thursday the first 7 fish were added. They are Electric Yellows - two males and five females.

03.01.2022 If you want crystal clear pond water, give Spolsht a go. All natural algae control. Just clean sludge off filters regularly for complete pond health.
