22.01.2022 Please rain soon. For many regions in Australia, the drought has taken it's toll. Condabilla Fish Farm, which we manage has been hit hard from water shortages. One good downpour in the right area will start our flood lifter again and we will be ok. The alternative is too stressful to even think about.

20.01.2022 Had the privilege of visiting an extensive mud crab farm in Palau, Micronesia. It was a fascinating place, set completely in amongst massive mangroves. The scariest thing was falling off the walkways into hundreds of huge mud crabs.

14.01.2022 All ponds at Condabilla Fish have vegetation growing on the banks. It provides a great haven for the birds. There are so many different species. There are a lot of finches, ducks (many species), cranes, swans, terns, pelicans etc. The vegetation also helps with bank stabilisation and nutrient assimilation.

12.01.2022 We always get great Murray Cod fingerlings from Max and Craig at Hanwood Fish Hatchery every year. Our cohort this year are strong.

04.01.2022 LMC conducted face to face, on site training to over 60 employees of the Tassal prawn farming operations at Mission Beach, Yamba and the huge (and getting bigger) farm at Proserpine in December. It is hard to fully appreciate how big that farm is by the video below. I think we will have to buy a drone! All three sites are doing an amazing job with their crops. We were so impressed with their employees and the way they have stepped up to the plate, especially considering a lot of them have had no aquaculture expereince before! It was one of our most enjoyable face to face training months.
