20.01.2022 Wandena & Maryville proposed water scheme - A couple of residents have asked where is the water coming from? Local bores would be pulling water from the superficial aquifer which is realtively close to the surface. Aqua Ferre will be drawing water from the deeper Leederville Aquifer which can only be accessed under licence. It will not affect or compete with domestic bores.

15.01.2022 One of the questions that came up last night was cost - we are aiming at a once off connection fee of $4000 ($1500/$1800 cheaper than metro connection). Cost of water for the YEAR will be approx. $700 for 450KL (average household usage) - remember there will be no sewerage or annual fees
15.01.2022 Good news - the proposed water scheme will now be potable water. You will have access to drinking water that meets the guidelines defined by the NHMRC - the National Health and Medical Research Council.
15.01.2022 Lee Thompson Surprise surprise - Australia post have answered my email with regard to residents in Lower Chittering not receiving the Aqua Ferre (proposed drinking water project) unaddressed mail - according to them they asked the relevant post office who said they delivered the letters and therefore you have all received it - case closed !!! Are you Serious??? Please let me know the streets that still havent received the mail out so I can take this further. Cheers Lee
13.01.2022 We are sending out information on the proposed water scheme in the Southern Chittering Valley with the survey and a reply paid envelope to everyone in the area- please let us know how you feel about the proposed scheme if you already havent done so. 03.01.2022 Okay - have received a couple of requests for more information on the proposed potable, user pay water scheme. The general feeling is that people need more information - we are happy to answer all your questions just let us know how best to reach you.
03.01.2022 Thanks to all of you who took the time and braved the cold last night and come and chat to Ken, Jim and I at the hall in Chittering Road. We certainly learned some lessons about the local sentiment towards the proposed project and found it extremely valuable.
