25.01.2022 The Art Academy is saddened by the devastating news - two wonderful boys, Lachy, who is currently attending art classes, and Ethan, a former student of ours, have just lost their father to cancer. Our deepest condolences go out to Alex Liberman's family and friends. Our lives are so fragile, lets treasure every moment we spend with those close to our hearts.

25.01.2022 Term 4 - Artwork of the Week 11 (Painting category) *Sigh*, genius is such a rare commodity. I have no idea how Nicky Layton (age 17) pulls all those wonderfully weird creatures out of the depths of his imagination and places them right onto his canvas. His story-telling painting would be fit for an author's new sci-fi book, or a film-maker to shoot a full-length movie...

23.01.2022 Following the brushstrokes of great Masters - Anastasia Kirpitchenko replicated one of the masterpieces by a founder of the French impressionistic movement Claude Monet. At the beginning it seemed to be quite a challenge, however, Anastasia has just nailed it!

21.01.2022 Sadly, this term was cut short due to the corona outbreak. Our classes will resume once the curve is flattened. We wish all our art academy families and friends to stay safe and healthy. In the meantime, we will keep our pencils sharpened and paint moist, ready for our students' return.

20.01.2022 It’s hard to believe that 10 years have passed since the Aquarelle Art Academy was first established. It was then I had made the decision to leave a corporate world of graphic design to start working with children in a studio of my own. Since then, I’ve never looked back. Every moment in the art room is filled with joy, happiness and laughter. I would like to thank my lovely wife Tania who joined me in the studio as an art tutor, and our wonderful students for the memorable and enjoyable moments throughout the years. This slideshow is a tribute to those children who joined our studio in the very first year. We now see them much older and wiser, some with even have children of their own.

18.01.2022 Term 4 - Artwork of the Week 7 A lovely landscape painting by Luca Rotteglia (age 16). Acrylic on canvas.

16.01.2022 Term 4 - Artwork of the Week 8 (Painting category) Great effort by Ashton Eikelis (age 15) in painting this motif. I'm sure many would love to jump into this boat and sail away after spending months in a lockdown.

10.01.2022 Term 4 - Artwork of the Week 11 (Drawing category) Charcoal, the art medium of old Masters. Not that commonly used nowadays. 06.01.2022 Term 4 - Artwork of the Week 6 Painting with palette knife - Sierra Danon (age 18). Unlike oil paints, it is quite a challenge to paint acrylics using palette knife, however Sierra, in my opinion, has succeeded with her painting.
