21.01.2022 AQUATICS DOWN UNDER has just installed an Air Sterilisation Unit. This is one more step towards ensuring that your family is well looked after when swimming with us. Each night, after our professional cleaners from Onsite Cleaning have worked their magic, the Brauer Air Sterilisation Unit kicks into gear and disperses an Ozone gas throughout the centre to reach all hard to get to places. These units have traditionally been used in childcare centres and hospitals where sanitation is imperative. We value your health!

15.01.2022 ADU is going GREEN!! Did you know that plastic bags take 10-20 years to decompose, while plastic drink bottles take up to 450 years? HOWEVER, ‘decomposing’ does NOT mean that they fully disappear. Instead larger plastics break down into microplastics that NEVER DISAPPEAR and mainly end up in the oceans. Every year approximately 4.8 to 12.7 million tonnes of plastic ends up in the ocean. This is a HUGE problem. Here at ADU we have made a change to combat this issue and ...are now using BIODEGRADABLE bags rather than plastic. These bags break down in 12months and have no lasting impact on our environment. Here are some easy things that our wonderful ADU families could do as well to start combatting this issue. 1. Why not try biodegradable bags in your own home?! Here is one website that they can be ordered from: https://www.floraandfauna.com.au/brands/biobag 2. Say NO to single use plastics such as plastic bags and plastic drink bottles. You can even pick up your very own reusable ADU bag from the office! 3. Ask for your ‘after swimming treats’ (like donuts and sushi ) to be put in a paper bag rather than a plastic container. You could even buy a milkshake without a plastic lid or straw! 4. Take a reusable coffee mug when buying your hot beverages 5. While your kids are swimming, take all of your soft plastics (like bread bags, biscuit wrappings and chip packets) up to Coles for recycling rather than throwing them in the bin Together we could all make a big change
