24.01.2022 Myth Busted Swimming in winter and getting your hair wet will not increase your chance of getting a cold. The news will come as a surprise to some after a recent survey found more than 50% of people believe this old wives tale. Most winters see a drop in the rates of children swimming lessons, a concern considering how detrimental skipping lessons in the winter months can be for a child's ability and confidence come summer. When children take to the pool the opposite is actually true - it helps boost the immune system and decreases the chance of getting the flu. With summer just around the corner, keeping children swimming through winter also helps their skill acquisition and retention.

18.01.2022 Hoping all had a great Easter. As Anzac Day this year falls so close to Easter, Jane, Jodii and myself will be working on this day. Swimming lessons for all Thursday kids will be on as usual. To all the men and women that have served or are currently serving in the Australian Defence Force - thank you for all that you do.

04.01.2022 Just a quick reminder to all our swimschool parents If your child is unable to attend a lesson, please call, text or email to advise as soon as possible. This will allow other children to attend in that spot if they require a make-up lesson. The same due courtesy will then allow for a make-up lesson to be booked for your child.
