25.01.2022 Aranmore paid our respects to the traditional owners of the land at the annual Welcome to Country & Smoking Ceremony earlier this week. Student leaders, staff and community supporters of the College joined families from the Aboriginal Student Program as Elders of the Whadjuk Nyoongar people asked the deceased spirits to cleanse and watch over our community as we start a new school year together. 25.01.2022 The Addams Family has opened to rave reviews! Well done to everyone involved. (Limited tickets currently available at the door for Sat 1pm matinee but all other shows have sold out).
25.01.2022 I took a group of very keen and eager Yr 7/8s to Kingsway Christian College to compete in a 9-round fixtured comp for NWAS Netball yesterday. Playing 9 Rounds in one-day is pretty much unheard of and so the team had a long haul ahead of them. Admittedly many of them would tell you that netball is NOT their first sport but that didnt stop them! The girls had a tough start against a very tall and very strong JSR team, but they never gave in! Once we got a handle on the fo...otwork rules, the loose passes, and the heads in the right direction the girls became a force! The rest of the day saw the girls achieve 5 wins and 3 losses with a welcomed BYE around lunch! No matter what position I asked them to play, they all chipped in and gave it their best and they ultimately surprised themselves most often. Steep learning curves for many, whilst being supported by each other. Sportsmanship, attitudes and efforts were all brilliant - Well Done, girls! A great day for Aranmore! - Mrs Cherie Farnan (Specialist Netball Program Coordinator) #LearnMoreAtAranmore #GirlsInSports #AranmoreNetball See more

24.01.2022 Behind every great Science teacher is an equally impressive Lab Technician. Mr Daniel Stanes is Aranmore's awesome Lab Tech. During Science Technician Appreciation & Recognition (STAR) Week, Id like to recognise and thank Mr Stanes for the professional support and invaluable knowledge he contributes to Aranmore. From building Solar Systems to repairing skeletons, not to mention the buckets of slime he makes for Founders' Day, Mr Stanes goes above and beyond to support practi...cal science at the College. Mr Stanes talents and expertise are not limited to the Science Dept; he also supports both the IT Dept and the Library. So if you see Mr Stanes, please thank him for the outstanding work he does behind the scenes to make science fun and an engaging learning experience. - Mrs Geoghegan, HoLA (Science) #LearnMoreAtAranmore #STARweek20 #CatholicEdWA See more
