It was a wonderful gesture and we really appreciate your kind words and recognition. It put a big smile on our faces when Klaas brought it into work and is sitting proudly on display on the nurses station.... 16.01.2022 Donate Your Hair to Charity Does your hair take forever to wash and dry? Or just want to do something nice for others? Join Miss Qin to donate your ponytails to charity. Here is a YouTube video that Miss Qin made, showing you the steps: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9cYHZ0bcwg8. The minimum length is 20cm, hair can be natural or coloured, including grey. You are welcome to bring the ponytails to the Fairhills General Office, to be posted off for you, or you can post it yourself. These are then made into wigs for those with cancer and Alopecia. Don’t forget to take some photos (or make a video) and let us know! And don’t forget, hair grows back =D

15.01.2022 Congratulations to flute student Regina Lu for representing Fairhills High School at a regional level with her music. Regina was accepted as a member of the North Eastern Victorian Region Virtual Concert Band. Regina recorded and submitted her flute music along with a click track into the region. Together with other selected students, a virtual online concert band performance was produced... This is a wonderful educational achievement during remote learning, which demonstrates a true passion and talent for music. 11.01.2022 Music has been well and truly alive this semester during remote learning at Fairhills High School Congratulations to students who learn drums, guitar, voice, violin, flute, clarinet, saxophone, trumpet or trombone you have embraced and adapted to online learning extremely well. Listening, creating, reading and performing are all elements of music which have all been occurring in their weekly lessons.... Students have been producing performance videos, playing duets and participating in group or individual lessons. Well done to all instrumental music students you have been awesome during such a challenging time.

11.01.2022 BREAKING: I know the effects this pandemic has had on students mental health. That's why we've brought forward this program and starting Term 1 in 2021 every lo...cal gov secondary school will have access to the school-based mental health support they need into the future. This will see more support at our local secondary schools: Boronia K-12 College Heathmont College Bayswater Secondary College Wantirna College Fairhills High School Knoxfield This program and commitment we made will see qualified mental health professionals in every government secondary school campus across the state and now locally much sooner and will include psychologists, social workers, occupational therapists and mental health nurses. All Victorian government school students, whether they are learning remotely or attending school on-site, have been able to access mental health and wellbeing support during the pandemic. I want to thank each and every member of our school communities for putting in the hard yards, the long hours and the dedication to make sure each and every young person gets the support and care they deserve. It’s only right we back this up with such a valuable investment into the long term.

10.01.2022 Exciting news: The Performing Arts Centre Toilet & Change room area upgrade started today with the demolition. It is now a fenced building site under the control of our contractor for the duration of the upgrade project. We expect the project will be completed in early November. Harvey Wood (Principal) & Scott Fraser (School Council President) checked out the progress today.
