03.01.2022 A quick update on the fires. The animals, staff and park are safe so far. The fires have travelled through much of this country here. A fire break in the back protected us from burning there but we are still looking out for spot fires. Ben is busy keeping the animals happy with feed and water. The whole area is still on alert for any flare up fires from burnt out trees. A bit of rain would be welcomed... about 3 months ago. Trees are down on the Bungawalbin - Whiporie Road. Fires are still flaring up in the pine forest east of us. A big thanks to all the emergency services for such an epic effort in keeping us all safe in fire affected areas. #NSWFires
