20.01.2022 Came across this while searching the web. It was great to be involved in this exciting project and present alongside the SA Minister for Climate Change about the airborne canopy and thermal mapping we undertook for Resilient South in 2016. Such a forward thinking group of councils leading the way in Australia. Our work really highlighted the importance of vegetation and in particular, healthy trees, for mitigating urban heat. The contrast in heat between high-density urban developments and lower-density older-style developments is huge. About time we woke up to the fact that we need lots of trees and greenspace in cities for our health and well-being. It's not rocket science but we continue to make the same mistakes over and over again...

15.01.2022 Congratulations to CoKwinana for their vision! We have really enjoyed being involved in this exciting project and look forward to seeing the community in amongst the trees! Healthy Trees Healthy People!

13.01.2022 Tragic to see another piece of Perth's urban forest and remnant wetland destroyed and those who passionately voice their opinions prosecuted. When will we wake up that it is mostly the green space and canopy that makes our cities a healthy place to live ....not the construction of more roads.

10.01.2022 I love glasshouses...and have only been to a couple of these. I spent the best part of the day in the cloud forest in Singapore. It is always very interesting to see how different species grow under glass...I've seen attempts to grow several trees under glass in hotels, shopping centres etc. that have failed dismally and resulted in huge costs that could have been avoided. You not only need great architects with vision but also people who have in-depth knowledge of trees and their requirements.
