21.01.2022 Important community service announcement!! Guess who’s back.... back again..... Those pesky paralysis ticks are back in full swing! 18 cases so far this month (...12 over this last weekend) as compared to 7 for the month of August. This means if you aren’t using tick prevention PLEASE start NOW! Eg Nexgard or Bravecto for dogs and Bravecto topspot for cats. No product is 100% effective so please also tick search your pet daily. Also be aware of the early signs- the sooner you bring your pet in for tick paralysis treatment the better the outcome. Tick paralysis can kill your pet! She loves playing with her big doggy foster brothers, is good with cats (but will chase a little if they runaround). ... She has the most beautiful speckled face and belly and will make a lovely family pet. She would prefer to sleep indoors, looking after the family. 08.01.2022 BREAKING: Authorities have raided two NSW puppy farms this morning following allegations of extreme animal cruelty leading to the death of a 10 month old female... Boxer. It is reported that the mother dog was unable to give birth to all her puppies and while in considerable pain, the puppy farm operator denied multiple requests to take her to the vet. She is understood to have died in agony over a period of 4 days while the surviving puppies were shipped to a pet shop. Breeder dogs are treated simply as machines by puppy farmers. Across NSW there will be many others just like her: facing a lifetime of confinement, deprived of all socialisation and forced to pump out litter after litter in squalid conditions to supply the pet trade industry. I am drafting legislation that will ensure our laws are as effective at protecting dogs here as they are in other states. It’s time puppies received the protection they deserve. 08.01.2022 Magneto - our not so evil X-Men villain. He is very a affectionate and sweet, cheeky boy. Very intelligent and doing well with toilet training. LOVES his food and will let you know by barking at meal times with excitement. Has sooo much fun playing with his young foster sister(6months) and can be very boisterous.... He loves all members of the family human and dog. He needs to find a loving home with another friendly, playful dog to hang out with. He will be your shadow (if he’s not sleeping) and follow you everywhere. He just wants to be with around you and would prefer a home with someone home more often then not.
