10.01.2022 Western Region Volleyball- Friday night games- 4 December 2020 Great news- we have been allowed back into the Maribyrnong College stadium and can play INDOOR volleyball !! Over the next few weeks, WRV will be offering all members the opportunity to play some games on Friday evenings.... If you want to play a game, simply copy and paste this link below and provide the details required. https://forms.office.com/Pages/ResponsePage.aspx WRV Playing members must complete this form to indicate they intend to play this Friday night- 4 December 2020. They must provide their own mobile and email address as well as that of their Parent/carer. Due to COVID 19, there is a limit to the number of playing members allowed in each time slot. Numbers are strictly limited, no more than 60 children allowed each game time. Only those who have completed the form will be allowed to participate on the night. No drop ins will be allowed on the night. Unfortunately, PARENTS/CARERS cannot enter the stadium except to provide contact details. Responses must be received by 3 pm, Thursday, 3 December. Only members who have responded will be placed into teams. Teams will be published on Team App and the Western Region Volleyball Website by Thursday 3 December. 06.01.2022 Attached is the Expression of Interest (EOI) to be involved as part of the WRV Beach VolleySchool 'Performance Squad' for the winter months of 2020. If you are an athlete with ambitions to compete nationally and internationally from U17-open age to the best of your ability, please consider submitting an EOI. Sessions will be conducted at the Altona indoor sand courts at Westside Indoor Sports facility on Friday evenings. Throughout winter, our focus will be individual skill a...cquisition and development as well as tactical development and awareness. As we progress from off-season into pre-season (spring), this will subsequently shift towards execution of skills, decision making and tactical implementation. The EOI deadline will be July 31st @ 5pm. Successful athletes will be informed shortly after, with the first session commencing once restrictions lift. 02.01.2022 Beach VolleySchool announcement! Junior Development squad resumes for the school holidays on Wednesday's at South Melbourne Beach. Training will be from 3pm - 4:30pm and will be head coached by Daniel Mauro and Joey Yigit. Sessions will be $20pp, and pay as you go. This begins Wednesday the 23rd of Dec and will continue in 2021. No need to pre-register, just head to the beach and ball out. All updates including weather will be posted to this page. ... Hope to see you on the sand!

01.01.2022 Change of plans! Due to the Volleyball Victoria Beach Volleyball Schools Cup, the courts at South Melbourne will be unavailable for use. This makes us sad, however many WRVers will be competing and getting their beach volleyball fix! We cancel our Beach VolleySchool sessions for Development Squad and JNRs until next Wednesday evening!
