25.01.2022 The shoes in the front row are classic...can only Old Falconians enlighten us? You could wear black shoes, brown boots or desert boots?

22.01.2022 Graffiti mystery: spotted on the room divider between art rooms V1 and V2. It hasn't been closed to make two classrooms for many years now... Any clues?

21.01.2022 On Sunday 4th November the gods were kind to us and we were able to hold the Old Boys Centenary Cricket Match. The match was originally planned for March but rain meant the game had to be rescheduled. We were able to secure North Sydney Oval for the event a very fitting venue for the talent that was on show. Ian Craig and Peter Philpott were our two off field captains and it was great that they could join us as this was one of the highlights of the day. We were lucky enough... to have an extensive range of years represented from 1972 to 2012. We had many visitors call in throughout the day and it was entertaining to hear the old tales of the school. The cricket was first class with Ian Craigs team batting first and amassing a total of 147. Unfortunately Peters team fell 6 runs short but what an entertaining match. All involved were keen to do it all again next year so this event may well be an annual event on the OFU calendar. A great day was had by all. Thank you to our umpires Tim Donahoo and Tony Kingsford-Smith. Neil Hunt Event organiser/ coach

21.01.2022 FALCON FLASHBACK FRIDAY... tldr: "Started a hip hop group because we couldn't have a Food Tech class." When this photograph was taken (sometime between 2006 2...008 we believe) they had the fire only angry young men can have in their hearts. For they had been denied the opportunity to study a much desired and longed for subject. Home Economics, or Food Tech. When questioned about their motives for wanting to study a subject that focuses on food preservation and catering skills, Mr Neil Hunt paused and said AhI think they liked to eat. Names have been omitted to protect their careers, but here is a selection of comments. Student Q: "Our indomitable leader Student X assembled a group of local miscreants who needed an outlet at their frustration for not having Home Economics classes available." Student W: "God lol... thank you for this Teacher D! This is in fact the NSB hip hop crew started by Student X (who will be similarly thrilled that this has found its way to FB)! Why is this being archived, surely it should be framed and hung at the entrance of the school to show how hip we are?" Teacher D: "It is being displayed at school with your full names. As a warning to other students." Student X: "Could we get it constructed into a life size bronze statue? That would really make my day." Teacher D: "My Year 7 art class is already working on a lino print version of it but will check the budget for bronze purchase next financial year." Other comments on the original post include hahahahahaha Solid bandana game bro By recollection, that's a shirt on my head.

19.01.2022 This coming Tuesday (weather permitting) NSB will participate in the school walkathon. We have a few photos from 2001's event...any standout moments to report, Old Falconians? We are guessing you didn't have to be warned to not try and catch any Pokemon en route?

16.01.2022 A century ago, the great powers of Europe engaged in one of the deadliest bloodbaths of human history. In a period of just four years, 17 million total lay dead... or missing on the battlefields of Europe, the Balkans, the Middle East and Asia. Australia paid no small price in the war of those 17 million dead, 60,000 were Australians, sent to fight for Britain on the Western Front and in the Middle East. A century ago, North Sydney Boys High School farewelled many of its own students and teachers off to war, some of whom would never return. Today, we commemorate their sacrifices and pay our respects for their service. Lest we forget. Below: A photo from 1915, depicting the entire school, some of whom fought in WW1

16.01.2022 More 2017 videos tomorrow!

14.01.2022 The Archives group has been very busy scanning the Falcon magazines from 1959 and 1960 for an old boy and have had little time to flit about on Facebook like all the youth of today seem to! Here are some photos we forgot to upload from the talented and generous Stuart McPherson.

11.01.2022 Our talented Chess Team had some big wins in the past week...I'm hoping Ms W and some of the team members can update us with the exact details. From our staff meeting this morning I can recall a win over Sydney Boys and a draw with James Ruse? While we wait for the official details, here is the Chess Team from 1968.

10.01.2022 How was your Tuesday at school, current NSBHS students? Did you look as engaged and hardworking as these students from the 1940s? And was your uniform as impeccable?

09.01.2022 It's taken a while, but Mr Neil Hunt has finally liked our page! The only question now is...will he give his blessing to upload some classic 1980/90s Hunt moments?

09.01.2022 It's very close to the Class of 2018 leaving us...what photos will be unearthed as we wave them off?

05.01.2022 Congratulations on a Crawford win for 2018! A few familiar faces here from our 2010 win, including an old boy (now teacher) returning to coach and Mr Weiss looking cheery.

04.01.2022 Farewell to the class of 2017. Here are a few photos of your time at NSBHS.

03.01.2022 Many thanks to the generous Stuart McPherson for bringing in a disc with photographs he had taken as a student of NSB between 1979 - 1981. The photos are amazing! The Archive group and I loved looking at them. I will add them to the albums now. Thanks again, Stuart! Belinda Daley
