23.01.2022 Mobile, cryotherapy, yes we can come to you.

22.01.2022 The feature story on the Sunday program, channel 7 Sunday March 27th, related to Cryotherapy. Albeit the story in general was very positive towards Cryotherapy and endorsed the very ethos Arctic Mist practises, the feature made assumptions and claims, which need to be corrected. 1) Cryotherapy is not new to Australia and has been performed by professional therapists since 2008 with many thousands of treatments conducted over the journey and many treatments currently conducte...d, on a weekly basis. 2) Arctic Mist has been performing Cryotherapy treatments, since 2009 and have treated many leading sporting and business professionals, plus many people from the general public. 3) Cryotherapy has been used by Australia’s leading sporting codes, tested by medical professionals and is currently being researched by one of Australia’s leading sporting universities. Arctic Mist makes no claims regarding the effectiveness of Cryotherapy, leaving stated results to those who use the service. 4) At no stage throughout the Cryotherapy process is a client unattended in or around the Cryosauna. At all times, while in the Cryosauna, a trained specialist, with a minimum of a basic medical certificate, is within 50 cm of the client conducting, visual and audible tests to satisfy the Arctic Mist safety first policy. 5) The equipment used by the industry in Australia, other than walk in cabins, have built in safety measures. 1) sauna controls cannot be operated from inside the unit, 2) the treatments are on a preset timer with a maximum of three minutes and 3) the shape of the cabin means should a client experience difficulties and sink to the base of the sauna, the door will open and the client would exit the sauna through gravitation pull. (see picture below) 6) A health history form is required by all clients who wish to use the services of Arctic Mist, should a person not satisfy the requirements of the health history advice form, or be of a condition not suitable for Cryotherapy, as adjudged by the therapist, the client will not be provided treatment, It is important to to know that client and operator safety is the first priority of those, conducting Cryotherapy treatments at Arctic Mist. We believe experience is what counts to ensure clients get the most from their, Cryotherapy experience and clients are at all times, in communication with a trained therapist and are in charge of their treatment process. Successful and beneficial Cryotherapy treatments are more than just standing in the cold sauna, delivering effective treatments with real benefits requires training, experience and an understanding of the body mechanics, always ask your therapist how long they have been conducting treatments and be comfortable that you are receiving the latest in Cryotherapy methodology, inside and outside of the sauna, by an experienced practitioner.
